@englishbob absolutely spot on .. also we all know that’s why Carrick was given the job … any other manager would have demanded publicly for more players …
How has Zirkzee survived and is still a Man Utd player just because he is a great character in the dressing room 🤣🤣… don’t forget Ugarte and Mount will be back by January thereby freeing up Baleba to deputize at LB.

2nd September 2026 at 5:59 am #255487It’s what they’ve done with midfield that’s the biggest crime. Three new midfielders and you wouldn’t have bet on any of them before the window opened. Read something about them revamping the defence next summer. Well surely that’ll have to be after they’ve sorted out the midfield again. Pitiful!

2nd September 2026 at 9:05 am #255492You have to laugh or else you’d cry when you hear that the clueless cunts actually think that they’ve had a good window, and in particular sorted the midfield out for the foreseeable. They are patting themselves on the back for ‘stealing’ Tielemans away from Villa for ‘just’ 35 mill, but when you take into account that they’ve given a 5 year contract at 200k per week to a guy who will be 30 years old before the end of the season then you realise that they’ve learnt absolutely fuck all from the mistakes of the past.
The signings of Santos and Baleba are also no more than speculative punts, and are just as likely go tits up than they are to be good buys, so it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if at least one of them flops badly and needs replacing by the time we get to next summer when we will need to be bringing in an entire new defence, deary fucking me._____________________________

2nd September 2026 at 9:26 am #255498The Tielemans signing is the most baffling and makes you wonder what their criterias was for signing a midfielder. Now we have a soon to be 32yrs old Bruno and a soon to be 30 yrs old Tielemans. If Baleba was signed for 30 to 40Mil i would be okay with it.
Even before the window opened i kept stating there are bargain players out there but these clueless twats are so focused on media hyped players… FFS a late loan move for Aiit Nouri who is injury stricken and lost his place to Nico O’Riley … I tell you the Fanbase are just not collectively voicing their discontent hence why these fucktards keep getting away with such crimes

2nd September 2026 at 9:29 am #255500So we have’nt sold a single player of note. All the so called planning went out the window and we took a punt on 3 players it seems to me. Its a pity all those redundancies didn’t include the entire staff of the transfer and scouting depts!

2nd September 2026 at 9:59 am #255502Well thank fuck that’s over! We can get back to the proper actual football. Quite surprising we didn’t go for a left back but with Rashford staying Dorgu is probably going to rotate with Mazraoui as back up to Luke Shaw. I think the midfield, whilst not exactly the swashbuckling rebuild it was billed as, is in better shape than it was last season when we had to resort to putting Ugarte onto the pitch knowing we would instantly concede 2 goals.
I think the team has goals in it going forwards. I hope the midfield has more balance and offers more protection to the backline and i think Lammens is a good goal keeper.
But i am pretty fed up watching Shaw and Maguire line up for us every week in the year 2026!
Let’s hope next season its 4 or 5 new defenders and we have a proper team.
I’d take top 5 and CL football again this season so that we can make a bigger leap forward next summer!_____________________________

2nd September 2026 at 10:23 am #255508@happy – So it’s next summer yet again is it?!😂😂 There’s an old saying that goes ‘tomorrow never comes’, and it sums up this shower of shit running the club perfectly.

2nd September 2026 at 10:30 am #255509@Dee – Their only criteria is shopping in the bargain basement for players that no other big clubs were going to bid for, and thus drive up the price, that’s it. As for the fanbase, you get the feeling that the next outrage at the owners including Ratshit is only a few bad results away because they will never turn against Carrick for obvious reasons.
Anyone with half a brain cell can see that they’ve brought Carrick in on the cheap and set him up to be the fall guy because everyone can see that we’re even further away from a title challenge now than we were at the end of last season, simple as that._____________________________

2nd September 2026 at 10:51 am #255511Another thing, the club should be grateful the rent boys didn’t manage to sign Kone as I’m sure he would have proved to be a far better player than Santos for about the same money.

2nd September 2026 at 11:27 am #255514Fuck me happy, how can you be remotely positive after that embarrassment of a transfer window? Those midfield signings are fucking shambolic. Tielemans, past it, Baleba for 70 million after a season on the bench at Brighton, and Santos, who should be on the bench at Brighton. Another 150 million on the wrong players.

2nd September 2026 at 11:32 am #255515It’s not that they didn’t spend money for the midfield but it’s that the signings made have no sane rationale behind it especially the Tielemans deal … For Santos i was of the opinion that with enough game time he will come good but there’s no way he starts ahead of Mainoo or Baleba when fit; so why spend 50M on him??
I think it’s Rashford and Dorgu for the left wing, Cunha and Sesko for No.9, Mbeumo and Amad for right flank.
As for Fullbacks there’s no need because all options offer nothing going forward and are defensively inept. Heck even Yoro as a RB seems to offer more than both Dalot and Mazraoui

2nd September 2026 at 12:11 pm #255516Switched everything off yesterday and just ignored the fucking media circus around the final day altogether. The only thing to take from the window is that we are skint. Says a lot that we didn’t have competition for any of the signings. Also a joke that a club the size of ours cant be fluid and work on multiple areas of the pitch in one window. Think it’ll be a struggle this year and we’ll see a lot more Hull type performances and results than some people think.

2nd September 2026 at 1:54 pm #255523JM – Guess it just depends on how you choose to look at it. We weren’t going to sign Tonali, Anderson or Fernandes for £100m a pop this summer. That’s not the kind of rebuild we’re doing. We’ve obviously wanted Baleba for a long time and i think Santos is just a punt at a slightly cheaper £48m than most punts have gone for this season, notwithstanding the likes of who Sunderland and Brentford pick up etc. I’m not sure how Tielemans is “past it” but i do think the midfield is to be built around Mainoo.
I never thought we’d be investing in defenders this summer. We have 5 CB’s and adding another one just blocks the path for Heaven (19) and Yoro (20) to break through. I did think we’d pick up a left back but with Rashford staying we have a Dorgu without any real place in the squad. He seems to be a better winger but can certainly cover Shaw at left back with Mazraoui playing there for Morocco at the World Cup too.Agree with N1xer about the deadline day, it’s just a farce driven by agents and media. It was Ait Nouri’s agent who tried to get him out of City not our idea. And Athltico were in for that Salinas lad so we walked away and they fucked up the deal for him and the other left back they wanted, at which point it was too late for us. We wanted Lewis Hall and i imagine we’ll get him next summer to replace Shaw. So why go for a shit version now?
I’m not saying its perfect! But i do believe its enough to get us into the CL places again this season. Its over to Carrick and the coaching team now to make us a decent team on the pitch. We are going to lose games, concede shit goals and have bad results against teams worse than us. But so will most other teams. That’s all part of the ride – so buckle up butter cup!!!

2nd September 2026 at 2:13 pm #255524Wilcox needs to go,he is really bad. Hiring Amorim and his philosophy and then tells him to change formation is like buying a car with manual transmission and change it to automatic.
I posted a couple of days ago about Vivell might be a goner. Well,it looks like he is off next season to give his services to Bayern Munchen. The only one with a football brain is leaving. It seems like Vivell was pushing for Sangare three times before Ederson,Santos and Tielemans. Vivell wanted Sangare and Scott for 120M but Wilcox wanted Baleba and Santos for 120M._____________________________

2nd September 2026 at 3:28 pm #255538@zico i did say the same thing about Vivell; his track record speaks for him and he only signs young, hungry and exciting talents who he knows will blend with whatever way the coach intends to play.
Not just Wilcox but Berrada too needs to go .. i am 100% sure they both chose to give the gig to Carrick.. with that wasted 160M i could sign them 3 excellent Midfielders and 1left back 🤣🤣 who would be much better than what we currently have in the team.
@Happy.. Many people on here did say Tonali, Anderson and the Fernandez lad are not worth their transfer fees

2nd September 2026 at 6:17 pm #255573It’s clear that there’s a complete change in strategy when it comes to transfers, under Ineos. Under Woodward and co we’d have outbid City and Tottenham for the players they signed. So in that respect I’m not bothered that we didn’t spend 100 plus million on one player this summer. However like many on here I’m not really understanding the logic of why we’ve brought the players we have especially Santos (he may turn out to be a great signing long term) or why we’ve brought Tielemans. (I get the impression it’s because we discovered his get out was low). Not sure how the balance of the midfield will be. Guess it’s up to Carrick and the coaching staff to sort it out.

2nd September 2026 at 8:06 pm #255577Bruno is offered contract to 2029? He will be 35 then. Pretty much the same as Tielemans will be when his contract expires. Why not give extensions to Harry and Shaw also when we are aspiring to be an old man’s home? Of Tielemans and Santos I think we will have more use of the latter.

2nd September 2026 at 8:23 pm #255581Don’t know why everyone is bitching about the transfer deadline. It is is pretty obvious that there is no money or desire and that a ‘summer transfer plan ‘ is in place. 😂😂😂
