Richard Hughes baffles me, he should have signed Semenyo in the first place, instead of the overhyped, overpriced and over-injured prima donnna Isak.
As for Semenyo, I’ve said it before, he’s a game-changer, in the mould of Luis DΓaz or Sadio ManΓ©, my favourite type of player, versatile (can easily play No. 9), rarely injured, pace, strength and a monster mentality
The big problem is other top clubs are after him also, and does he even want to join Liverpool in the first place, considering how crap we have been so far this season.
Remains to be seen what happens

18th November 2025 at 10:41 am #230739Ibrahima Konate, bye, bye if you think Liverpool’s wage offer is not high enough, you’re welcome to go to Real Madrid.
We can replace you, EASILY

18th November 2025 at 10:47 am #230740As I ALWAYS say, the stats never lie, and the stats for Antoine Semenyo are damn good.
This season, 6 goals and 3 assist in 12 games for Bournemouth, this is a striker’s form, 1 goal in 2 games.
And for the sake of objectivity, he’s missed 21 games injured BUT this was only three injuries, and the last injury was back in 2022 (transferMarket). I don’t know if he’s been injured since.
But Spurs and United are after him also.

19th November 2025 at 5:37 am #230747Rumours that we are looking at Joel Ordonez, not to be confused with the youngster with rhe same surname that Chelsea have just bought. He’s a 21yo right sided centre back playing for Brugge. Inter seem to be preparing a rival offer.
Semenyo would be a good signing as he adds intensity to a somewhat passive front line. I am sure the scouting team look at stats beyond the basic goals and assists columns and more to how he would compliment the team.
We need someone to plug the huge gap between midfield and defence. Not a headless chicken destroyer, but someone that can happily sit there with good positional sense and passing ability but not afraid to put his boot in when required. A Xabi Alonso type, maybe Wharton but that is more likely in the summer.

19th November 2025 at 10:20 am #230752Wharton be perfect
My wish list would be
Semanyo
Whaton
GuheiBut i cant see much happening unless we go for semanyo in jan.
We also spent a shit load in the summer and have a great squad so manager needs to get best out of these players

Of course they do, they also look at the player’s personality and how they will fit in with the team, BUT Stats (and injury record) matter more than anything else. Funny how they missed that Isak is a self-serving, selfish twat who only thinks of himself.
That’s why I stated on teamtalk, before they signed for us (and based on Stats alone) that ManΓ© and Salah would be huge successes for Liverpool, before they even kicked a ball for us, despite many fans being sceptical, and biased. And to a lesser extent, DΓaz and Gakpo.
And I’ll do it again, Semenyo will be a big success at Liverpool if he signs for us.

19th November 2025 at 11:43 am #230761So looking beyond just goals and assists and although Semenyo is known for his hard work, it is plausible there could be even better options put there that don’t score as much.
Seen Fowler has clearly read my suggestion π€£ of Minteh. Not as high final output as Semenyo but very intense presser but still has the skills.

19th November 2025 at 11:49 am #230762By the way I think this is the first time on these pages I’ve ever seen an alleged liverpool fan call one of their own players a twat.
Songman sinking to new depths.

19th November 2025 at 12:21 pm #230763Well done to scotland(some of the best people youll meet in the english speaking world, only rivalled by the irish) and andy Robertson. Some cracking goals, its unfortunate ben doak was injured, who will be there live wire in next years world cup!
After the game, andy robertson seemed very emotional and brought up Diego Jota and how they were both thinking off going to the world cup 2026.
Its a reminder of how the team is still suffering deep down, im sure theyve got a sports psychiatrist if not maybe we should invest in a world class one.

19th November 2025 at 1:17 pm #230767I do think you need to rein it in a bit regarding Isak Songman. Every Liverpool player deserves our support, and he had no say on how much we paid for him. You’re very quick to preach to others about the quality of fan they are, so perhaps it’s time for self reflection.

19th November 2025 at 2:01 pm #230769Isak’s Liverpool career hasn’t started yet and looking forward to when it does take off as he’s a quality player with a career strike rate of 1:2.

19th November 2025 at 2:31 pm #230771Thank you sean, i was hoping he starts to step up a little, but it seems as hes way off the standards he should be playing. Also congrats and making the playoffs, wishing Ireland, NI and wales the very best for world cup qualification! Would be crazy to have all of them in 1 world cup⦠has that ever happened before??

21st November 2025 at 7:00 am #230796Info from an ITK, and this is one I’ve followed for a while and has a very good reputation. Called Carra, but people suspect it night be Macca with a new name for those who know Macca.
“A good chance we will cash out on a big star or two.
Macca being one and potentially Gakpo.
Huge interest in both, big big figures being banded about.
Semenyo is very close, Guehi being renegotiated, know more next week.”

21st November 2025 at 9:18 am #230800I know who you mean Threeps.
I just saw the same thing this morning.
Heβs usually fairly accurateβ¦..and Iβm underplaying here. The MacA moving on thing has been around for at least a year now, meant to be the summer of 2026.
The Gakpo thing slightly surprises me as heβs just been given a new contract (perhaps to protect his value) and we know there was interest in him in the summer past.
Gakpo is a a bit of a strange one.
He hasnβt went up the levels perhaps expected but is still a very good option to have. At the min Iβm not sure youβd want him as first choice in your attack if we continue to play the 4-2-3-1/4-3-3.
Perhaps weβre planning to move away from that formation with Salah possibly leaving in 18mths and the arrival of Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz. The concern I have is if these both happen it represents more significant change to a league winning line up in such a short period of time.
