10th January 2026 at 10:39 am #236314I just have the feeling that Liverpool are not going to sign anyone in this window.
Or pull off a big surprise and sign someone completely unexpected.
Anything can happen.

10th January 2026 at 10:43 am #236315Germany has been an excellent hunting ground for us in the last few years, and in fact delivered us the title last year with the midfield revamp of signing Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and Endo.
And now, we’ve have done it again with Ekitike, Wirtz and Frimpong, as the latter two are coming good at the right time, while Ekitike was an instant success.
Also, if you observe closely, there is clearly a chemistry and connection between Ekitike, Wirtz and Frimpong, on and off the pitch, which bodes well for the team.
Perhaps we’ll target Bundesliga soon, again, for top players, who knows.

10th January 2026 at 10:49 am #236321I would rather have Greenwood than Semenyo, first of all Greenwood is two years younger and funnily enough they have both played the same amount of games or 274 games and 272 games, Greenwood has 127 goals and Semenyo 59 goals. Will probably both cost the same amount of money and Greenwood got more top experience, experience in Europe. It might be a difficult move to make because of his former club and history but the lad has done very well since he left the spotlight.

10th January 2026 at 10:57 am #236322Mason Greenwood actually has 84 goals in 224 games in senior football.
Semenyo is a superstar, 10 times the player Greenwood ever will be.
Plus Greenwood is a domestic abuser, Liverpool would NEVER, ever target such an idiot, with his extremely bad attitude.

10th January 2026 at 11:15 am #236330“Songman, he is still with his girlfriend, there is not much abuse happening there.”
Look at the videos she posted, her injuries, and the numerous charges that she brought against him, are these all fabricated? So why did Nike and EA Sports subsequently cancel their sponsorship of him then?
So basically are you actually supporting him, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary?

10th January 2026 at 11:16 am #236333IΒ΄m saying he did not get charged, his girlfriend took him back, he is a father now. ThatΒ΄s a rehabilitation story, not a story about further abuse from either one of them.

10th January 2026 at 11:21 am #236336Stop ignoring the overwhelming evidence.
Open your eyes, just because a woman goes back to a man, does not mean that abuse did not occur. In fact some women have gone back to abusers, only for it to get even worse, that is reality.
As for rehabilitation, sure it can occur in any area of life, but Liverpool’s job is not to rehabilitate players with serious problems, let another club take that risk.

10th January 2026 at 11:41 am #236340I even remember the exact moment when things started going wrong for him, him and Foden had broken curfew with the England team in Iceland. Southgate was actually pretty lucky to keep his job as he had security break into a bedroom at the hotel they were staying to look for the lads. Not a hotel room connected with England but a couple of girls hotel room.

10th January 2026 at 11:52 am #236341Of course you are right, you were also right about Balotelli, he was never gonna join the club according to you. Greenwood will be hot property in the summer, with just about everyone agreeing that he has turned his life around. Even going as far as getting the Jamaican passport to play international football again. Any club that gets him will be lucky to have him, I think he has shown tremendous growth as a human being in the last 3 seasons and most would agree with me there. This was a kid focused on fame and money before, now he just wants to play football. It is hard to change your life under the mediaΒ΄s eye and the kid took the right decision to leave England and focus on his family life. It has paid off and now he is in demand again. He is not even a troublemaker like Balotelli is. ItΒ΄s not often I am impressed with a redemption story in football but I am impressed with what Greenwood has done with himself.

10th January 2026 at 11:57 am #236342Find it so random to have a forgotten name plucked out. I’m all for second chances having previously worked with ex-offenders to rehabilitate them, but can’t see this sitting too well with supporters. Players too for that matter.
Germany does seem better for prospective buys. Nothing stopping us looking closer to home and in the Championship either.

10th January 2026 at 12:00 pm #236343Antonio Nusa being mentioned. Right footed LW playing for RBL who we have good relationships with. One issue seems a bit fond of the treatment table, in fact I think he’s currently injured with an ankle I jury that’s kept him out for the latest 3 games.
Wonder if Malick Fofana would be looked at again. Heard Slot wanted him and he wanted us but Hughes said no.

10th January 2026 at 12:11 pm #236344Heard the same about Fofana.
Slot wanted him as another option off the left but Hughes was saying to play Rio but Slot didnβt think he was ready and thought he should go out on loan.
During the summer the narrative was that we didnβt want to block Rioβs pathway by buying another left sided attacker. Look how thatβs turned out for both the player and the team.
We are still an attacker short.
Weβll likely have to play the remainder of the season with Gakpo, Salah and Ekitike as our viable options up front.
