It’s down to the manner of how this first leg has finished. Not that they should really be feeling like this, but there’s disappointment of not leaving the match with at least a 2 goal cushion; considering too the amount of chances created.

I don’t feel above all City should be hard on themselves; I’m sure they’ll score goals in Madrid.

Adlab you blame everything and everyone but your team mate. City should have out that game to bed after 30 mins. Should have been at least 4-0 up after 30 mins. You missed your full backs but casemerio was a huge loss to them and alba came off.

It’s not always the ref or injuries fault if city draw or lose. City should have this tie one and it’s no one’s fault but them for not taking chances.

I still strongly fancy city to go through and to win the whole thing

Sean. Just my reaction to abject disappointment. We should be out of sight but we are definitely not. But our lack of fullbacks cost us very dearly..
Should be comfortable for Liverpool tonight. Villareal are OK but no more than that.

Madrid get away with so much especially their field, I always used to think they were just a very lucky team down the more recent years but it’s now plain that it’s much more than just luck.

Adlab, we are a very good team, Real Madrid are a good team. We should have won but “should haves” never does it for me. We won the game and that was enough, to score 4 against Real Madrid is exceptional. As far as I am concerned we are in front and it is up to RM to catch us or for us to to do the same again. One thing for sure it will be a good match. Referees and officials we can do nothing about but a high quality one is required for this game.
Ederson, Laporte and Dias need to tighten there game and hop we have at least one of our full backs return. I think he would have put Ake on but was also thinking of Leeds at week end and he will be needed as will Fernandinho, Gungdogan, Sterling and McAtee for 45 min.possibly 2 other 45 minute appearances for youngsters as well.pep will rest some for next week I think with one game to go.

I didn’t know Cancelo was serving a suspension. Stones, I’ve never really felt assured, albeit in fairness he had a good term last year, but I think he has a mistake in him. Dias back, but Kyle Walker is missed as much as I like Zinchenko.

Fernandinho I don’t think is made to play center back and certainly not at 36!

Credit to some of their players; Vini Jnr one of them.

My thoughts are of last light that perhaps City are hard on themselves, though I understand and hopefully those missed opportunities won’t be of a regret.

Nike…I take the view that we witnessed two very good teams over 90 minutes. Yes we did miss our two full backs, I certainly would not blame Fernandinho, in fact praise him for the effort in the RB position, beaten once, but that mattered, but who is to say Walker or Cancello would not have been beaten in that moment? Yes, it would have been nice to have score a few we missed so easily but that is football, these things happen but….we won the game. and that matters. The next game is a clean slate for me, they just have to go out, in Madrid, and do it all again…only better. We are capable of doing that so disappointment does not register with me…just get on and do it City

Ye spot on brown. Good post. Strongly fancy city to do the job over there. City are very good at the back usually and have already shown the can go really tough places and grind out results if needs be

Above all, it is positive which was my overall sentiments. Sometimes, it can get easy to be critical and start picking the bones from the goals conceded.

I’m pleased personally that there are no away goals which from a neutrals point of view makes some teams approach games differently.
