At this stage I think it’s just the PR dance being carried out between the clubs.
Newcastle don’t want to look like they’re giving in too easy so obviously rejected the first bid.
They’re highly aware that Isak wants to leave and to leave to Liverpool.
I think things could have went smoother if Newc had got in some of their targets but they are all over the place at the minute with that.
I dont think they have a clear play how they want to move forward and don’t have a director of football/someone to exclusively deal with transfers and it’s hurting them.
