RE: β€œThe Halland signing from a neutral point of view essentially kicks the can down the road of any hope in generate more competition or fairer competition”

What do you mean by fairer competition?

Is it because of City signing a very good striker for a reasonable price of €65m? Man City have lacked an Aguero and this guy is a replacement. Do you think it was fair for the competition when Liverpool signed Luis Diaz in January? You should know the Toons are also now in town. This is going to be the trend across. Let’s not forget Liverpool’s foundation of success in recent years is built on major signings.

Pep must have been enjoying some of that nice Catalan beer before he said that. A lot of neutral football fans have no preference and just enjoy the excruciating title race between Liverpool and City. As a Utd fan, I certainly do not want Liverpool to win the Premier League. However, I do not want City to win it either πŸ˜‰

I didn’t follow the Mendy case but the allegations portrayed upon Greenwood are very serious and if it is true he shouldn’t play anymore and he will get what he deserves a worthy sentence. But, as I said, it’s important we don’t pre-judge this. Let this be a trial by a jury, not by public opinion. Greenwood is truly innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law and really should be.

RE: β€œThey really should be walking the league and CL from now on!”

I agree City are scary next season with Halaand and they already been winning the league by record margins for the past 4-5 seasons. But I don’t agree with your assertion that they would be walking the UCL with Halaand. They couldn’t do it with Aguero (arguably the best striker in the PL era), so we have to wait and see how Halaand gets on. Mbappe is a better player than Halaand IMO.

No I am not on the windup. Although Greenwood is suspended by United, he has always been listed on United’s website since his arrest. I don’t condone any kind of assault and violence against others, and wish Greenwood has handled his career and life in a classy manner. But, I believe in a presumption of innocence until he is proven guilty. Having said all that, if a court does find him guilty, then shame on him. Throw away the key. But we have to leave things like this to the courts, not public opinion.

I’m still here watching my beloved childhood club by the hardwork and dedication of Sir Alex for years crumble in a blink of an eye. As a Man Utd fan I was so gutted when Fergie left. And my worst fear came true.

Finally after 10 years I feel very confident ETH would transform us into a team in four transfer windows or in 3yrs. No matter the outcome, I will back him for 3 yrs as I did with Ole.

This is the realistic Manchester United squad I would like to see in ETH’s first season
    GK: de Gea, Henderson, Heaton
    RB: Dalot, Tariq Lamptey (36m)βœ…
CB: Varane, Lindelof, Pau Torres (55m)βœ…, Timber (40m)βœ…
    LB: Shaw, Brandon Williams
CM: McTominay, Fred, Garner, Tchouameni (60m)βœ…, Declan Rice (100m)βœ…
    CAM: Fernandes, Mjbril, VDB
    RW: Sancho, Anthony (55m)βœ…
    LW: Rashford, Elanga, Chong
    CF: Darwin Nunes (75m) βœ…, CR7, Greenwood

    Out (free): Pogba ❎, Matic ❎, Mata ❎, Cavani ❎, Lingard ❎
    Out (sell): Maguire ❎, Martial ❎, Bailly ❎, Telles ❎, Jones ❎, AWB ❎, Amad ❎

One more thing, the Kane failure last season could now seriously be City’s gain. Close to 10 years younger. A crazy record when it comes to goals. He has his injuries but best years are ahead of him. City are a scary prospect next season surely

A bargain in this day and age but I can only imagine the payments that have been made to him and his team
