@Maverick if we’d taken the money for Bruno last summer, we’d never have finished as high as we did. So let’s try and put things into perspective. Mainoo earned his contract, after Amorim destroyed his confidence, and Harry, whether you like it or not is our best central defender. Shaw had a decent season for a change, there’s no other left back at the club good enough to challenge him. De Ligt, Mazraoui and Mount, I agree, we should never have even been interested in, nevermind sign them.

Lacey played the full 90 mins for the U21s yesterday, which ended up being a waste, as they lost anyway.
Amad and Mbeumo are both out of form, yet they both start today. That’s unfortunate for Bruno, as today is probably the match where if you feel he’s gonna beat that assist record, it would be this one, as I don’t see us getting much from Brighton next week.

Spot on Jm1502, I don’t see any of them making it to the first team. What’s worrying is even at that level we have no one with any pace, when they should be full of enthusiasm and energy. I personally didn’t see what all the hype was about with JJ Gabriel, he had a very quiet game, but he is only 15 so has plenty of time on his side to improve. The biggest let down for me was Chido Obi. He should be bossing games like this especially since he’s had a bit of first team experience, yet he was a massive let down. I felt there was more about Macheda at 17 then there is with Obi, and Obi is now 18? Haven’t seen much progress with him at all, if anything he’s regressed. People only took notice of this guy because he scored 10 goals in a match. But when you had the growth spurt he had for his age, that probably spooked the other kids out 😂

Glad we finally did the double on them, long overdue. Though made that a lot harder than needed. This was not the game to bring Dorgu into, it was evident he hasn’t played for several months. But the more baffling decision is how Mbeumo and Amad keep getting picked when they have both been piss poor for far too many consecutive games. You can have a bad game now and again but I can’t remember the last time either one had a decent game. If Carrick can’t see that, then he can’t be considered for the job. Other worry is he’ll reintegrate Rashford back in the team which will just send the wrong message to the rest of the team.
That’s CL guaranteed, would like to see Lacey get a chance on the right. He can’t do any worse than the other 2 options, who both look lethargic and like they’ve played 100 games this season.
