To be fair to Hargreaves. He was one of the top combative box to box CM’s at the time. Was the enforcer at Bayern and always battled well against the top midfielders in Europe.
Despite his injuries he actually played the whole of the first season believe it or not. He bossed the midfield in the league against the top sides and most importantly he did it in Europe. That is the reason he was signed, to help us win the CL and he did that. For that first season alone and the level he played at, I’ll give him a pass.
Fuck knows what happened to him after his first season.
Looking at the list on this page, that is some serious fucking money down the drain.
