So, 8 games in and another break for international football… zzZZZzzzzz….
Well, considering how the season started for my Spuds, the chaos that was pre-season with nobody really due to World Cup duties, not signing a single player at all, the nonsense going on regarding the stadium, Hugo’s ‘mistake’, the worst injury crisis I remember for a year or two, (I think I’ve covered everything!), and pretty much dire football all season, somehow my Spuds have ended up with their best ever start to a Prem season after 8 games… not too sure how we’ve done it, about from maybe the 2nd half against YooUtd, this years vintage has yet to ripen. 2 points off the top with some considerable room for improvement on the pitch… I’d take that everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.
I know we have a habit of starting slowly and getting a groove on from November onwards (always seem to have a decent festive period it seems!) but not this year. It’s a pity all the other big-dogs have started even better!!
Have to give ’em a B+ I reckon for sheer tenacity.
