Middlesbrough all over again. Took me a decade to get over that result. Don’t know how long this will take.

3rd March 2026 at 10:16 pm #240629So many basic things are bad. That’s on slot.
Salah got his goal but then fluffs the pass when we look in on goal for a second.
Their goal comes from yet another daft attempted no look pass in midfield. And the second from yet another terrible clearance from Allison.
Ref was awful, that looked a handball, foul before the winner ignored, but end of the day we are total dog shit and can’t see that change under slot.
Even the West Ham game …the score line looked convincing but watching the game live we were very poor for large parts._____________________________

3rd March 2026 at 10:18 pm #240630Never a handball, he couldn’t do anything about and arm was tucked in and at close range. VvD was just too weak for the winner, not a foul. Didn’t notice the ref really and that’s usually a good sign.
Did notice our crap slow tactics and inability to actually create quality chances or apply intense pressure.

3rd March 2026 at 10:24 pm #240631I am ultra livid as everyone else if there’s any consolation. Especially at Wolves. Just taken a bit of time out…..

3rd March 2026 at 10:27 pm #240632Wrestling now seems to be the new sport diluted. Players grabbing opponents by both hands and the Referee barely bats an eye lid. The player who handled Ekitike should have been shown a RED STRAIGHT UP!!

3rd March 2026 at 10:30 pm #240634It’s the whole Coaching Team, not just SLOT. Players too!
Poor decision-making. Why does Curtis Jones in his own half when he has all the time in the world passes back to Alisson?!?!

3rd March 2026 at 10:57 pm #240635Dont know what to say. Tough game and was very impressed by joao gomes, he dominated our midfield. I agree with ginger, should have kept frimpong on the bench and brought him on later.
Wasnt impressed with salah and gakpo(wtf was that lastminute.com challenge on curtis).
Rio did well, good shot and cross for van dijk, but his passing backwards to players needs to improve. corners were shite, happy for salahs goal, however fucked up that final passโฆ those are the margins. I dont think we deserved to lose, but we didnt deserve to win it either.
midfield was brutal, gravenberch was chasing shadows and second best to balls. Szobo was the sameโฆ and mac did well with tackling however was slow with his dribbling and getting the ball out of his feet. Ekitike doesnt offer any physicality or press off the ball.
On another note, happy to see Nil back on form with his positivityโฆ was getting worried !

3rd March 2026 at 11:01 pm #240636Asian, completely, regarding Ekitike. He’s a big fucker and should be bullying and harassing but simply doesn’t do that. Similar build to Torres but Torres was in permanent hunting mode.

3rd March 2026 at 11:12 pm #240638I don’t why there’s an accentuation on this particular performance of Liverpool Tonight as “the worst ever”. The way people express themselves in the now society with their choice of words is either too far down to too far up.
I’ve heard on the Radio by one of our fans calling in as “Shocking” Why are you shocked? The other descriptive word used is “Poor” We were really Poor? Were we “Poor” against our Standards?
I must have been a different fabric in what I saw compared to the majority. I don’t know how fast others would like our Tempo to be. We don’t have the players compared to last season and let’s be honest. Salah in addition has lost pace. No fault of his own, just a fact of nature.
Kerkez injected well as with Frimpong on the opposite flank, but it’s then finding the ability to pick out a Red Shirt from a cross, being able to link a one-two, or ultimately run at the opposition and dribble past them with aggression. This is what we’re missing out of our Locker.
Wolves clearly knew we wanted it more and they did to us exactly what they did to Villa last Friday.
We have the opportunity for Revenge, so this time round, there’s no room for any let ups.

3rd March 2026 at 11:20 pm #240639But, Nil, we keep ‘letting up.’ We ‘let up’ almost weekly. ‘Letting up is seemingly ingrained in our DNA this season.
Perpetual.

3rd March 2026 at 11:31 pm #240640If you could bet on ONE team in the entire league that would screw up against a team that took 78 minutes to register their first shot and score and go onto eventually win it, it would be us.
Only us, Villa and West Ham have come away from Molineux with nothing this season.
City, Leeds, Burnley FFS, Chelsea, Palace, Brentford, Forest FFS and Bournemouth all left with three points.
A point each for Brighton, Newcastle and Arsenal.
Piss poor.

3rd March 2026 at 11:47 pm #240646I thought the 5-2 Saturday was flattering as I didn’t think if anything play well, or play to something that would excite a Spectator.
Forest away was especially the first half was also below par and we only came to life really during the closing stages.
I don’t think the players look disinterested for example or anything like that and I was genuinely pleased with our approach and application first half tonight.
There’s a combination of Elements we’re short of or just down exhibit enough that leaves us ultimately selling ourselves short. I did worry about this fixture, but with the build up and the atmosphere and everything coming from the TV Screen, I thought, ok, may well be a Good Night for us.

4th March 2026 at 3:22 am #240647@Rob โLiverpool Football Club, helping relegation teams since 1992โ
Its a big upset and sets us backโฆ but its nothing newโฆ last season it was Nottingham forest, the season before was luton town, burnley breaking our home recordโฆ the list is endlessโฆ its just in our dna to unbuckle the belt, drop the pants and bend over for relegation and struggling teams.

4th March 2026 at 5:43 am #240648Perfect match to explain why I said our midfield is one of the weakest in the league. Not individually but collectively. Whatever Slot has been trying to do with them simply hasn’t worked all season and last night was up there with one of their worst displays.
My worries started when Gravenberch said preseason he is looking forward to playing higher up the pitch. Fine, if someone else plays DM. But no one does. Combine that with the attacking fullbacks we bought and it was clear we were in for a crap season.
MacAllister was the best of a bad bunch last night, but think I counted twice him losing the ball weakly and rolling on the floor with hand in the air trying to claim a foul. Ref saw it for what it was. He does this every game, yet some on here think he’s strong.

4th March 2026 at 7:54 am #240651Macca rolling around had become a thing every game now. Its embarrassing
Its just awful to watch. Slow and predictable
Its a chore watching us now. Were was chiesa be playing when he comes on? No shape.
We have two attackers injured. Its just terrible.
This team has no balls. Pass pass pass go backwards etc load of bollix

4th March 2026 at 7:55 am #240652Wasn’t excited by the wins recently and not surprised by yesterday’s result. Slot’s not up to it and the football he is serving up is predictable, ineffective and inconsistent. FSG can’t afford for us to miss out to the Champions League so I expect them to pull the trigger in the not too distant future.

“Does the team consistently create chances through patterns of play in a sustainable and repeatable way?”
Unfortunately that answer has to be no.
Now ask why?

4th March 2026 at 10:35 am #240657It is very worrying that our most functional forward is a 17 year kid who is being starved out of game time. He created more, had better chances and was a genuine threat down the left like always. I honestly canยดt name one move that Gakpo did all night, not one cross, not one shot, not one dribble. I saw a rating somewhere of 1.9 out of ten for him and I think that is being generous.

4th March 2026 at 10:51 am #240659You’re forgetting Gakpo did do an unbelievable goal line clearance, certainly preventing an easy bundle in for a goal.
