Just on Gerrard at Villa. Yes, it’s still relatively early days, but yet again it’s another Villa performance where Villa didn’t turn up in the first half. Gerrard looked frustrated. One concern I had with Gerrard becoming a manager years ago was like with John Barnes, some top players don’t go on to become great managers because they get frustrated when coaching players that aren’t as good as they were. We’ll see how things pan out, but Des Kelly got widely criticised over his post match questions to him a few weeks ago with Gerrard getting quite prickly with him over it. Early days or is the pressure starting to come on now?

Mikus..I hope Gerrard, Arteta, Company Rooney do make it to become top Managers but also not forgetting the Eddie Howes, Sean Dyches etc. They all work under very restrictive conditions now and changing laws. As for Reporters, well they get paid for asking stupid questions, all about a headline again, makes you wonder who are the real attention seekers

I want Rangers! What a turnaround though. Sloppy defending by Gers and Celtic deserve their 2-1 lead. The sun’s gone as well.
The first 6 mins were just fab in relation to the atmosphere and excitement.
If next Sunday is anything to go by, there will be lots of adrenalin and tension.

Can’t imagine what would be happening in this match with Oliver in charge. It would be at least 6 yellow cards and a red so far. But it’s blood and thunder living up to the reputation of the old firm.

Ablab, fully agree Sir.
Brought a bit of perspective to me to every now and then take an interest in football outside the Prem. Sometimes, watch the odd SPL or Championship. I just miss the regular flow.
Years ago too, there was none of this ‘added time’. The Whistle usually blew on 90 mins.

Rather unsavory scenes towards the end of the first half. Why can’t players just try and walk away than retaliate? It’s a headache for the Referee to clear up the mess and hand out cards that could have been avoided.

Well Done Tottenham, very good win and really enjoyed their second half performance. It went quickly. Lots of Spurs players contributing towards goals and build up play. Good creativity shown cutting open the Magpies.
I would say Newcastle are below average. It’s those teams below them in the table that are poor otherwise Newcastle themselves would probably be in that scrapheap.

2 Ref draw a wide circle around him with his paint and only captains allowed in, anybody entering shown a Red card
