Completely agree Threeps. People will now mistakenly think this is a case of stick with Ten Hag no matter what. That’s ridiculous. It is though a case of stick with the idea no matter what. If Ten Hag flops, there’s no shame in admitting failure but the club must then continue in the same direction under another coach.

Liverpool wouldn’t have given Klopp more time after finishing 8th unless they could see progress on the pitch. It was clear to everyone at the time that Klopp was building something positive.

18 months ago people were tipping Utd to win the league until City went on that crazy run in the second half of the season and we fell off. Things change quickly in football. The next managerial appointment is critical though, as are the summer signings. I’m optimistic about Ten Hag coming in anyway so let’s see.

On another point, hats off to Liverpool fans who showed a lot of class in their gesture to Ronaldo in the 7th minute.

Some very interesting thoughts and comments. I don’t know enough about Ten Hag to make any valid comments. I am sure, however, that the media will take 30sec to tell us he is the footballing mesia. Just look at the press Rangnik got. Tactical genius, pressing maestro etc, only ready to shoot him down.
I stand by what I said earlier that a big part of the problem is the continuing presence of SAF. Nobody can live up to that level of success. It will happen to us when Pep goes.
But last night..Liverpool hardly had to try. The United players had little or no plan nor did they appear to have any direction. As for the centre backs???

Every-time there’s a heavy defeat or a defeat from a rival club, there’s a deconstruction of Man United and the same critical points are unearthed and repeated (which I’m sure many of us have done here). It ultimately creates from the Top i.e. the Owners.

Liverpool seem to always be involved in recent times too Nil. Liverpool pretty much sealed Mourinho’s fate at Anfield. Then the 0-5 at OT pretty much sealed Ole’s fate and now, despite Rangnick already knowingly not continuing, have seemingly sent us into another dark hole. I think I’ll make other plans for when Ten Hag first takes us to Anfield 😁

Actually felt sorry for De Gea last night. Looked like the only one that cared. Carragher made the interesting point that even under poor owners at Liverpool, the club still had fighters and characters in their dressing room. Utd appear to have very very few. I do think it’s Man Utd’s shear size globally and financially that has caused a problem. Liverpool have always maintained that kind of working class ethic at the club even though it too is a big club around the world. But at Man Utd, I think there’s been more of a corporate culture upstairs at the club as it got richer and richer and hence there’s been more of a disconnect between the fans and the global franchise of the club.

Liverpool have had their low points as far as I can remember over 3 years. The same as Manchester United and Manchester City.

What is the Apex of all of this which is inevitable is Life Cycle Accompanied with that is Continuity, People and a Vision along with a Plan and of course Investment Power. To Encompass all of this, managing Transition.

We lost confidence and belief in the example of 2010. Our Identity was smeared because of not feeling a sense of belonging and your head is filled with doubt and uncertainty.

That was Liverpool. Why did we sign Christian Poulsen? Milan Jovanovic? Joe Cole was one decent Sunshine, but even then he was plagued with injury. Torres looked lost which sums up my above points.

I see this with Marcos Rashford and the points I’m highlighted reflects in my view what I see with Manchester United. What is the point of Ralf Rangnick? He shows very little in adding value and influence of basic traits to get the best out of his players.

They need this season to finish and what they need is a firm belief and trust in whoever they appoint, plus to accept a potential mapped journey of ups and downs, at least at the start and even further down the line. This to be able to recognize and learn from mistakes.

Man City have been in Division 2 and have had their time spent elsewhere. It’s very easy to speak about the here and now and the recent successes. There’s jealousy because of them being fortunate to land such ilk of an owner.

When there’s widened perspective unraveled, then you can’t begrudge their supporters who have stood by, thick and thin. Let them enjoy.

Everton already a goal down at Goodison, courtesy of Leicester.

They are sailing close to the wind and it makes you think why Burnley had to what was probably a tough decision to change Management.

Still 0-0. Done everything but scorel very frustrating. Brighton are putting up very solid resistance. You worry about a sucker punch.
    Nearly 30mins gone now.

Well, 0-0 so far and I will no doubt jink it by typing this. The point more to the point is the game played 100 miles an hour and I don’t see hardly any teams (maybe apart from us, I think Chelsea when they’re at their strongest) somebody to grab the bull by the horns and take the sting out of the razzmatazz. Where is that guy? Does he exist anymore lol πŸ˜‰

Tariq Lamptey and Cucurella particularly covering a lot of miles so far. Hard work against T1000.

Just seven shots and one on target. They’ve had no shots. This has been the story of recent games. The lack of a natural striker shows. Good to the area but no finish.

    Thank Goodness for Half Time!

I feel sorry for Brighton from the point of view of being pressed at incessantly (to put it mildly).

A test for their own tank for the next 45. Could be 3-0 City if they catch them out with an early second half goal.

Well, so far at the very least, our goal difference remains Superior. Hard luck Brighton.

Chelsea have conceded 11 goals (4,3,0,4) in their last 4 home games! I know I’ve said it before but they’re absolutely miles off the top two.

Ed, we’d still expect a robust performance of them when they meet us in the FA Cup Final. They want revenge too. All the stats just go out of the window.

Eye-opener as far as tonight goes and huge credit to the Gunners.
