Ed. I’m sure you are right yet the hype about Rangnick on his appointment was more than if the Messiah had arrived. All we heard from the media was that the guy was a tactical genius etc.
Or was it he just spoke with a German accent. I’m sure they will pay him off at the end of the season._____________________________

Let’s be honest, the club were like a rabbit in the headlights when Ole had to go and they just had no idea who to put in. Rangnick seemed a good idea in theory in terms of trying to help prepare the ground for next season, but the man seems to have the charisma of a wardrobe and he’s clearly had no impact on that dressing room whatsoever. As Ed says, Man Utd still have some good players and it’s up to Ten Hag to lift them up now.

ED…there is only one place that is the problem and that is the Top management, Rangnick was never the answer and most were surprised by his lack of experience at this level came as no surprise, however, in saying that, who was advising Utes supremo’s? Guess they did it themselves…there lies the problem. No matter who you get and I think top managers will shy away from the job if it does not change. They will just add another “FAIL” to the growing list. The club/fans deserves better

I was coming round to the acceptance of 3/4 goals; even the 4th goal. I have to say from an LFC perspective, that 5th goal did hurt and sort of rubbed salt in wounds.
Sky Sports do not help with the commentary speaking about it as with BT Sport too last night. If I didn’t have my LFC hat on, I genuinely enjoyed the flow of that game and the football. It felt like a finale and a sort of signing off for the summer, but boy the players put the graft in and created lots of chances.
I’m not sure of the point of a Striker. I envy the fact that you carve so many opportunities with such ease and KDB is a massive influence and instrumental.

The landscape I see just from when I play Fantasy Football is that there’s very little Strikers to select from. Conventional Strikers like a Number 9 or a 10 floating around the box like a Rush or an Owen or a Ian Wright or a Mark Hughes. I don’t believe these types exist anymore.
Maybe it’s the more fashionable formations managers opt for. There’s more emphasis on midfielders and wingers to contribute or effectively, they automatically adopt the role of a striker.

Sean, just looked into it from your post. Not sure if it was just a throw away remark and something in jest.
I’m not sure if he feels in some way threatened by us or something underlying about not achieving the Champions League with Manchester City.
Europe when there’s Top Dogs there will venture as the main Cinema Screen, Box Office. It’s not as if he would have to cut his cloth accordingly as he can effectively splash on who he wants.
Probably just worth ignoring and scrolling past. Lol, good job it’s not a certain Mr Ferguson! 😀

Both managers have acted like schoolboys in the last 24 hours what with Klopp swiping at Conte and the way they play and that they’re only sitting in 5th because of it and Pep swiping at the media for supposedly being on Liverpool’s side. All rather pathetic really, but probably emotion coming out in the stress of the run in of the season.
