What really pissed me off about our set up today is how we have utilised James.
I understand why out of possession we defend with back 5 because we have to manage spurs wing backs, that’s fine, but if you have decided to play with wingbacks then why the hell would you not go with James at right wing back rather than ziyech? We were playing James basically as an outside centre back and we already know how useless ziyech is at wing back, it’s been tried and tested.
The commentator mentioned earlier that this is chilwells 100th game in league for chelsea but only 23rd time he started with James, we all know they are amongst best wing back combinations in the world at their best and the issue is we haven’t seen it enough.
Now we have missed it because we a forced to chase lead and defend in back 4 so now while they are both getting forward we are vulnerable on counter.
So many issues to annoy at the moment but this really wound me up.

Always liked the look of Zakaria when I’ve seen him in cameos for Chelsea. Never understand why he doesn’t play more. Has he been injured?
The #potterout brigade will be out in full force today but I just don’t see much point in acting now. He’s been brought in as a long term project. CL football is gone anyway so I see little to be gained from not giving him until the end of the season.

Ref needs to explain that farce.
Had his card out to book him before the push, then VAR gave a straight red, then ref looked at monitor to change to a yellow. So was that for the original foul (which he had his card out for), or the push in the face.
VAR has been a shambles this year.

Phew…. always worried (afterall, we put the Spurs in Spursy!) until about the 93rd minute… 🙂
Think we deserved it overall, Jammy Dodgers are a bit all mouth and no trousers, and ref/VAR did not have a good day… starting to feel quite confident about Top4 now, been looking at everybody’s schedule for the rest of the season and we do not have the toughtest run-in b a long shot!!
And to the Jammy Dodgers fans, try chucking another 600 million dollrs at the “project”, afteral, throw enough shit at the wall, some of it’s got to stick, right! 🙂 🙂 🙂
