HT and Spuds good value for their lead I reckon, created 3 or 4 really decent chances to extend that and other than the Pukki miss in the first minute and a few long balls from set-pieces, the Budgies haven’t offered anything… they might have a goal in them, but I reckon we’ve got more in us…

What in Heavens name was Schmeical complaining about tbat equalizer of Villas,? Wasn’t even remotely close to offside, his always complaining just about every goal that opposition score just like his dad did. Very poor sportsmanship.

That is now really a ridiculous law as Schmeical clearly did not have control of the ball even though his hand was just about on top of the ball, keepers are too protected nowadays, no Leicester player even complained about it at the time and Schmeical feigned injury hoping it was a foul rather than believing he had it under control.

Yeah, Kasper is really pissing me off at the moment. I think we have now conceded 10 goals from set pieces this season and all of them are because he will not come out. Instead he whinges and carries on. We are a shambles on set pieces and he is playing a huge part

I agree Rover. There are some clubs that are too big to play in the Championship. I know Leeds arent exactly popular by Liverpool and Utd fans in general but I have always wanted them back in the PL. It took so long but they belong here.
I would also like to see Nottingham Forest return too.
If Villa had continued losing, they’d have 10 points now. It’s incredible really. In just 4 games, Gerrard has nearly ,doubled their tally. Of course, this is new manager bounce more than anything but a positive mental influence (as spoken of by someone else here before) is what Gerrard would offer. Not every new manager gets much of a new manager bounce but this could go on to save them from the drop. They are half way to safety, before the half way point in the season. New manager bounce can often lead to a significant poor run and it’s this where the overall qualities of the new man are tested. We’ll see how Gerrard deals with that.
