Don’t get me started on Robertson. I am probably obnoxiously supportive of him.
I would say the issue with Fabinho is not so much about there being a mistake in him but more that there is a poor performance in him. I put it down to settling and tactical changes from Klopp. i have gotten loads of stick for not being knowledgeable by the other Liverpool fans on TT but I think my record of saying “this guy is going to be great for us” is pretty good.
Fabinho is one such guy.

it will be interesting to see how Liverpool handle the latter stages of the game. Our defence and protection of the defence, has not been good lately. We’re on the front foot here but is it going to be a case of us scoring more and keeping a clean sheet, or will we suffer the loss of confidence and building anxiety that we’ve been guilty of ?
I’d prefer a cleansheet over a huge scoreline, just about anyway. 4 or 5 nil would be just amazing. You can see that Salah is sharper looking today. he was unlucky not to score at around 44 mins. That was a really nice effort.
I asked for a hungry/angry mind-state (as Klopp loves to talk about) and so far we’re seeing it but it’s gotta be sustained.

I just wrote on the other site that it is just what we needed. The 2nd half was more tame that I’d have liked but you cant turn your nose up at 3-0.
Fabinho MoTM, even if he wasnt quite as influential int he 2nd half. He still had some really nice moments in there. Salah grew into the game and he deserves some credit too. Mane was great, as always.
i’ve no complaints about any player TBH. I think Matip even did well to sort himself out. He made a mistake or 2 but was on point otherwise.

Absolutely delighted to restore our position at the top.
This is probably the first decent and convincing performance we have delivered since December so it’s perfectly understandable that doubts have crept in.
Over to Man City and even a Chelsea draw will help us greatly.
