Big three points for YooUtd…. but is it too late? Was looking at the schedule… no more “6 pointers” against Spuds/Villians to help them, but still 5 games against the traditonal “big clubs”, City, Pool, Goonies, Bone Saw Boyz and the Todgers…. still in with a shout for CL footy but they’re going to have to earn it the hard way…

Absolute every chance of getting back in the Top 4 particularly at this stage of the season. Villa and Spurs for how good they have been this season are not holding and are capable of dropping points. Equally, that means too that United themselves need to get some sort of consistency.

Can’t figure out Man Utd this season. I think they can all look completely at sea sometimes or they can play some really nice stuff (like I thought they did vs West Ham last week). They’ve clearly got something in the team but are perhaps just a confidence team – i.e. when they pick up some points it can really lift them, but then lose a few and it can really deject them. I suspect Hojlund scoring a few now is helping with that confidence.

I’m with you Mikus. We have been awful at times. We seem to play much better when Martinez is in the team as, without him, we completely lack the ability to progress the ball through defence and the whole defensive line has to drop in and we go long instead. That’s just not good enough IMO from Ten Hag. He’s had enough time and money to ensure that reliance on Martinez shouldn’t be an issue. I don’t fancy us one bit for top 4. It would take an almighty collapse from Spurs for that to happen and they seem to be plugging away at the moment, getting the results they need.

Still think it will be Top5 for CL next year… so YooUtd would only need to catch one of Spuds/Villians, and considering us, after about 15 games of nonsense since the Todgers implosion, have got pretty much everybody back from injuries/suspensions/cups I would think Villians might be the ones looking over their shoulders…

Newcastle really haven’t placed themselves to push the others, so kind of ruling them out. This means a genuine battle between Spurs and Villa with United as an outside chance.
I was quite surprised prior to Liverpool playing them, the winning streak they were on. Of course, there are factors to weigh up, but proof that it can be achieved.
