I’ve always fancied city even when Arsenal were flying. They don’t have the experience. The two games with city will be huge but they remind me of Liverpool a few years ago.8-10 points ahead but a few draws and city just went on a mad run

And concedes the first goal again…and now another…in match terms, this season is like going down 4-0 after 60 minutes but having to endure the last 30 mins when you just need the ref to blow the final whistle and be done with it.

I’m afraid this is why Klopp’s position might not be tenable this season. Where is the turnaround going to happen? Can we really maintain this path we’re on until May?

It depends on how much is down to him though mikus. I found that article I posted in pool thread pretty insightful regards the multitude of issues that have aggregated to result in this season. I am not sure it could be reversed by anyone this season.

I found it interesting that it’s reported that pools recruitment was data driven but recently the coaching staff have had more of a say and were the ones pushing for nunez and gakpo.

Maybe klopp is more to blame than I would believe but I can’t help but think he is still best man for the job.

We were playing poorly even when Van Dijk was still fit Adlab. Several factors for our demise that have been repeatedly hashed out on here, but Klopp ultimately responsible for getting the team he has to at least be ready to perform and get results. In that he is failing, and whilst we know the season is something of a write off now, getting harder to see any light and relationships with the players are going to get increasingly fraught.

Lucky, if that’s true about the coaching staff having more influence on recent signings, then it is only adding more pressure on to him. I’m not one to call for someone’s head, but I’m not sure how realistic it is for him to carry on. As I said before, sometimes when the party’s over, the party’s over.

I think Klopp needs a change in tactics. Less long ball and pace and a more measured build up. The players are there and the opposition might not expect it. Still not sure about Gakpo.

Who comes in then mikuis? We don’t give Klopp a chance to try turn this around in the summer even if we finish tenth?

It’s not klopps fault matip just let’s your man walk in. It’s atrocious out there today. Salah is playing terrible at the minute. The cmub is a shambles at the moment and I’ll be absolutely disgusted if kloop is sacked. He deserves one absolutely shit season.
