Nine…the Hunt/lauda was not unique in F1. Other drivers had similar attitudes and experiences but there was also many really nice guys. I was fortunate to have worked within the F1 sport for a couple of years and travelled many circuits, sometimes pit side. I also co presented a presentation to the F1 drivers of the day in Geneva. Drivers like Stewart,Sippert, Hill,Rhindt,etc There was more actual racing then.

Dirk Gentlys holistic detective agency series was good tho i only got to watch hlaf a doxen episodes with an ex who had one of the streaming services, cant remember which one! Elijah wood of lord of the rings but that apart its a messed up weird thing but strangley good, think the likes of chucky would love it….

ha its still hard for the first few episodes not to see him as Frodo! he only has one acting look and its that weird soppy eye brow thing, but its a proper weird but good thing that i think youd like!

Hope it’s better than Dirk Gently… sorry, cyber chum, but that was a show that was trying far too hard to be “quirky” and completely forgot in needed a plot as it was a supposed “mystery” style of show… and yes, the character of “Dirk” was even more irritating than the last time I caught a dose of… nevermind, bloody irritating!! Detention for you for that one!

Brian, I was never an FI fan until my company out of Japan started sponsoring firstly Benetton, then Williams and then Stewart and as they were UK teams I was very involved on behalf of my company with all 3 teams.
Obviously I was very spoilt in being able to get close to the teams Jackie Stewart and Paul Stewart etc and drivers inc Schumacher and Damon Hill etc at the various Grand Prix’s having access at the track to the Hospitality, the Paddock Club,the Pits right up to just before the start of the race as well as visiting team headquarters.
All of which perhaps not unsurprisingly turned me into a bit of an FI fan.
At the time of the Hunt/Lauda battle I wasn’t that much of an F1 fan tbh but subsequently after my conversion I read the Hunt biography and obviously enjoyed the film Rush as you say though lots of similar examples both pre and since then.

They only had seasons 1 & 2 of DARK on Netflix… 3 & 4?? Where do you find them??
As for the penguin series, finished that ages ago, got the last season (5th I think!) for last Father’s Day… still ridiculously enjoyable in a “more-ham-than-a-deli-counter” type of way… 🙂
