Toby to City for 55 million would be perfect for them. Can’t see them getting another player who is going to walk straight into their first team and give them at least another 3 years for that kind of outlay, CB is arguably City’s “weakest” link… and at the risk of earing Big J’s wrath, not as though they don’t have the wedge to spunk, is it? No brainer as far as City’s concerned…

I doubt very much that Liverpool will move for Bale putting aside the enormous fee Real will want his £350k ps tax free and his poor record with injuries it’s not an area that Liverpool need to spend money on.
Bale going back to Spurs to play in their new Stadium would be perfect for both but I can’t see that happening either for preety much the same reasons United would be his most likely destination if Bale comes back to the PL imo.

Ed, a replacement for Can maybe?
Chelsea need a great window otherwise struggling to even qualify for the EL will become the norm at best.
If not fortunately Chelsea have got a great crop of youngsters at every level but that requires patience from Roman down to the fans and unfortunately the newbies aren’t very patient as they’ve only known success and find it difficult to cope with a bit of failure.
I favour a top DOF to be appointed a football man with real gravitas to be appointed to the main Board a Monchi, Campos or a Berta level type person with a Head Coach managing team and tactics under him.
Massive massive Summer for Chelsea across much more than just transfers which will set the direction the club will progress in or not in the medium to long term because right now Chelsea have slipped not only well behind the Manchester clubs but behind Spurs and Liverpool too and it’s not easy to get back.

Going to be a big window for both Chelsea and the Goonies, both could very well have new managers, and with the World Cup playing havoc with everybody’s transfer plans, getting both the managers and the targets sorted out quickly is going to be paramount.
As for my Spuds, it’s looking like Toby is off, (a shame but what else can Poncho do?), and possibly Rose too. Can’t see anybody else from the first 11 going (maybe Disco Queen, although to be fair he hasn’t been that bad for a while!).
As for coming in, possibly Shaw as part of the “Rose” deal, and the lad from Fulham, along with another up and coming CB perhaps. And off course, an out-and-out striker for back-up to Harry (easier said than done!).
