Thing is some of us are quick to find fault with a player simply csuse he lacks the finer skills of some of his colleagues or cause he may he a bit ugly or have an unsightly haircut but Barkley should be a starter in every game for Chelsea and England unless his being rested as part of rotation.

Bit harsh on both Barkley’s looks or hairdo. Far worse in football than him. Maybe best to focus on his footballing ability. He played well for England but so did many. The opposition were poor.

Never mentioned Barkleys looks specifically was a generalization but he often is not getting just ratings for Chelsea especially. While other more skillfully talented players have an average game and get rave reviews, judge everyone equally on the day.

Big win that for England in what were very difficult circumstances following on from Friday nights defeat and what went on in the Stadium a lot of teams would have hidden away from all that but credit to the players for not doing what they did and showing their pride for the shirt.
6 nil away is a good win in any circumstances and even though Bulgaria are a poor team.
Last night’s win doesn’t make England one of the best teams in the world just as Friday nights loss doesn’t make us one of the worst.

Barkley had a good game and I’ve always been pro him when we even had posters on the Chelsea site saying he wouldn’t ever play five straight games for Chelsea.
Barkley had a very decent season last season for both Chelsea and England and as I said at the time signing him for £15m was a no brainer.
Where he goes from here is now the big question but performances last night albeit only v Bulgaria won’t do any harm there are still aspects of his game he needs to improve imo particularly his ball retention and passing accuracy at times and there are only 3 spots in Chelsea’s midfield and it’s probably the most competitive area in the Club.
It’s down to him though to make his case to Frank in training and in matches in order to cement one of those 3 midfield places which realistically is just one place with Jorginho the holder and Kante now a box to box maurader. But he was and remains a great buy at £15m imo.

England have scored some what 30 or closer goals in qualfiers and in Saturday i was reading on twitter some England fans calling Southgate to be replaced? that is insane! when you consider the number of goals that England have scored and the performances had been first class apart from that Czech game.

“Am I the only one who thinks all this fuss over the Racist chanting is so Hypocritical and is taking away talking about the Game. Before anyone says I am racist, I am a brother who grew up in the UK and played football all my life. I have seen us in the UK go from 10 x worse than we saw last night to where we are today which is far from perfect.
We got to where we are in the UK today without any of the sanctions, bad press or any help from the clubs or the FA. We let worse than that carry on for years and years! We got here today, where we think we can look down our noses at the Eastern Europeans, because our whole society is just more multicultural. Places like Bulgaria are just not as multicultural and they are years behind us and they are doing exactly the same as we did in the UK years ago.
Very basically I saw that if your team had no black players the racist chanting was all the rage and it was the whole stadium singing Racist songs but as soon as most teams got brothers in their own team and especially when they were one of the star players it died down. You can not stop some people in society being Racist so you will always get idiots shouting crap or some numpty posting a racist tweet. It is impossible to stop.
As a player I would be pissed if the game got stopped because some of the crowd started making Monkey noises or whistling or booing. It would never effect me and actually drive me to play better. I think they are just basically stupid and whatever I do wont make them less racist!
As a sanction you don’t stop and ruin the game for the team and the travelling Fans. The FA or FIFA just closes the stadium to home fans in the next game and if they don’t stop then ban them from playing home games in their own country. Alternatively they play all their games behind closed doors.
As I said we were worse and its Hypocritical we give them this much grief and then we don’t talk about the match like it was inconsequential. “_____________________________

As the days tick by the action against the Bulgarian team will get less. If ever there was justification for a stiff penalty this was it, my feeling is they will get away with it AGAIN They are effectively out of the competition so will not be bothered I guess and then hope everyone will forgive and forget. Nothing less than a 5yr ban from all Internationals including friendlies

Whilst the behaviour of some of the Bulgarian fans was totally unacceptable, is it really fair to punish the players and proper fans by banning the team? We have to have consistency across football, that applies to both domestic and international teams.
With the technology we have now it would be quite easy to remove the racist fans during the match and deal with them in the courts, that of course means the courts have to set a severe punishment….Pagan
