P.S I’m certainly not having a moan about the site not making money. It doesn’t need to make money really at the moment as it doesn’t cost me anything, except for the domain name and hosting costs. It’s just that going forward, I’d like to eventually start generating some kind of income through the site in order to pay for its own growth.

It would be nothing intrusive in terms of ads as some sites can be but some subtle ad placements might just help to let the site develop even further. Though even that is not going to happen in the all too near future.

I thought ‘Watford’ stemmed from when Watford were either at Vicarage Road or Old Trafford playing United and were a goal up or something under Van Gaal.

Lol, I think they had some good results or some ‘overwhelming’ outcomes, and people who understood the joke just joined in with ‘Watford’.

One thing I never understood about some on teamtalk is how loyal they are to the site. I remember reading one comment about a year back where one poster said he will continue posting until the site is filled with posters as he feels teamtalk needs the help they need at the moment. It is like they owe something to the website, with the editors or moderators being grafeful for having so and so posting. The sign is teamtalk have done very little in return in order to fix the forum. As soon as Homzy left, the forum was always going go on the wane.

To sum that website up. When I struggled to log in, I went to the forgot password link and it directed me to a error page. Registered again and was told I will reciece a activation link and recieved nothing. If some feel they are oblige to post on that site until more posters join, then they will be waiting a long time because nothing works. It is evident they do not care about the forum anymore because of the security flaws etc.

There was loads more in relation to contributors than what’s currently represented on the site.

A big mistake in my view in taking away the other Divisions and the SPL. The lesser clubs had Posters in small groups that seemed local to their clubs.

Aside the analogy I used, the easiest and the most vivid way to describe the change is quite simply a black hole where a truly great Website disappeared along with what I would estimate to a good 50% of it’s Contributors.

Teamtalk is now a completely different animal to what it was it has different owners, less budget and less than half the staff and it still provides football news updates 18 hours a day.

Unfortunately no matter how hard you try you can’t get a quart out of a pint pot.

The club sites of Liverpool, United and Chelsea are still very active with in excess of 100,000 posts across the three club forums.

I don’t think if any of you suffered what i suffered at TeamTalk. i had my account taken over by unknown people, and this was surprising. the person tried to tarnish my reputation. but thank God, most of the posters who knew me were quick to call them out. and i was very pleased to read a particular post from Stevo who is a moderator at the Arsenal site. also my fellow Chelsea fans stood up for me when i needed them most. and i have to thank them.999, Liquidator, Young_blue, Lucky, Stuilse, Chelsea1967, Notnice and others. and i had to thank them from the bottom of my heart. now i’m a full time poster here and i have no intention of quitting posting here, as long as things don’t merit it. we have good posters and Editor who is supportive. its pity our Chelsea site isn’t still as active as its at Teamtalk. but let us hope the few of us here post there to make it popular. Rob, 999 and others let us have to time to post our site also as we also post in the general site. in that way we can attract the Chelsea fans.

Teamtalk had a thread where posters were critisising the site. It’s conveniently been removed which illustrates the poor character of that forum. It’s become a huge mess.

I haven’t been reading TT but went back to see what was going on with this big argument (regards Firmino incident) but maybe the site deleted the thread, I can’t find it. I did see some good posters who need to come join the dark side though.
