Well there’s been the odd bit of good stuff, but by and large this has been fucking awful. A nothing game and fortunate that Sunderland are complete shite. Wonderful effort in the first half apart, Bruno has been shite yet again. 51% of pretty innocuous possession at home against a really poor side. No atmosphere at OT anymore either but then it’s been like this for years now.

Lammens looked solid. Was always available for a pass, didn’t do anything stupid and marshalled his area well. Can’t remember the last time I saw a United keeper come out and claim two crosses in one match

He makes in-game changes to the backline because we play one game a week. If the guys on the bench don’t come on then those players will start losing interest, be demotivated and feel they aren’t contributing and getting the minutes they want. It’s not an ideal situation but that’s my take on why he’s doing it.
Regarding Dalot, as much as he frustrates the hell out of everyone, he seems to be the only one that can do a long throw in. Today that finally led to a goal, so if that’s his only use and we get a goal out of it then he will continue to get picked. The alternative, Dorgu, who has been Ruben’s only poor signing so far, has time on his side to develop. It’s his composure in the final third that lets him down, but let’s see if he can sort that out. If not, then time to give those minutes to Leon.
