Just like all the smart fellas here would have revolted if we had not signed a defender like Araújo. Me incluyo.

8th August 2026 at 11:14 pm #252541You can always count on certain things to happen every season, like it was no surprise we did not spend a single penny when Klopp left and then had a huge window.
He himself quoted that he did not have the energy for the next project and I understand him. He would have had to sell everyone sold, some of them good friends of him.
Selling Hendo and Milner took the last bit of energy he had for the job out of him
I still maintain that Slot was nothing but a yes man brought in to be fired when we were halfway or all the way with transitioning our front forward line.
He was a idiot.

8th August 2026 at 11:19 pm #252542It’s why he is gonna win the world cup next time and maybe the Euros. He got the charisma to lead Germany through another golden age. Takes no bullshit as evident by his first interview.
With him at the helm for Germany I can honestly see them winning almost every trophy during his tenure.
I know how motivational he can be for a club, it’s nothing compared to international pride. Except maybe the champions league and I bet every winner there would trade that one for a international one.
England can forget trophies for the next 6 years at least.

8th August 2026 at 11:23 pm #252543True. The Big Bucks Generated. Shirt Sales and Beyond ala Commerce are thought of in mind outside the Generics of The Football Field.
Lol, I don’t so much care as an Ordinary Fan of Working Class what our Higher People Get up To.
All in All, I Try and Trust they have Liverpool’s Best Interests at HEART.

9th August 2026 at 1:34 am #252545I think the generics of the game are always the same, this club has only achieved success when we got the most industrial players ever.
We don´t have to worry about finances anymore, we have a rare luxury right now where we do not have to care about the finances of one transfer deal. We got to go way back in the day to find similar owners that bankrolled the club.
Almost every time we spend record fees on players we win trophies, we should not be looking for bargains, we should be looking for those record players that will bring success to the club.
Like now if we buy Barcola I would expect him to score about 20 goals per season plus another 10 assists, maybe we can add another five goals and five assists to that tally but those numbers are needed.
That would be about 20% boost to his current tally or goals per minute.

9th August 2026 at 1:38 am #252546Then I am expecting around 3500 minutes, 20 goals, 10 assists or a goal or assists every 75 minutes. That is not a absurd number for a new record signing, I don´t really care how much we pay but that would be the expected ratio.

9th August 2026 at 1:42 am #252547With Barcola we will have the fastest forward line we have seen for more than 2-3 decades, we could probably go further back.
Cause Isak is pretty fast as well when in form, he can dribble, he can find the right run behind the defense. We had no backup or supply for him last season.
Salah for example has always been used to someone dropping into space for him but Isak is the exact opposite of striker to that. He will run into that space and demand the ball for himself, he is not the start of the transition, he is the end.

9th August 2026 at 8:41 am #252552Ginger, maybe we cant get our 1st choice cb mate or we are keeping noney for other positions?so i think araoju makes sense. Problem is he hasnt played really well for two years and has had his problems. He gives us a bit of cover until we can get some players back match fit.
Still , do we need two cbs in 2027?
Vvd and gomez contract up. I think vvd did ok last season. Got a bit of stick but hes still an excellent defender.
Interesting to see how he gets on this season but i think he van play on at the highest level for another year or two.

9th August 2026 at 9:57 am #252559Moonster, you miss didn’t answer my simple question “Who is this person who has access to information on our negotiations?”
And of course, it’s obvious, some Liverpool deals, especially big ones, are in the public domain, but the negotiations are still totally secret.
Do you think there’s someone in the room coming out and then leaking information to the press – Absolutely Not, unless you can prove otherwise.

Sorry, but id prefer to not to lose someone their job.

#1 CB, was,and is Nico Schlotterbeck
#1 was Diomande for the wing, there was no 2nd or 3rd choice.

9th August 2026 at 10:05 am #252561Just to add to my previous post, I’m not referring to general information being released to the media like “no deal has been agreed yet”.

Mbaye’s even faster than Barcola.

Bizarre statement considering you was the one asking for information, but hey-ho! Next time you read any information from anyone that states a named source at an agency or club…let me know.
Also, Araujo is in for his medical, seems a nice guy to be fair

9th August 2026 at 1:45 pm #252577Sean, Van Dijk is such a Rolls Royce of defenders that he could sign another extension with us. He played every game last season in the league, I think every game in the Champions League as well.
I really wonder if he will sign another extension or not, cause if he plays about every game again, I don´t see a big reason to let him go.
It´s a completely different story with Gomez, I reckon he might actually just retire after his contract is up.
I think the option to buy clause sits around 50 million for Araujo.

The only thing utterly bizarre is you continuously claiming to have inside info, or a source at Liverpool FC when you clearly don’t.
There’s a very easy way to prove that you do have inside info, but you can’t even do that.
Keep amusing us with your lies.

9th August 2026 at 4:42 pm #252648its just the same insider formation everyone else claims they have, you can pay for a subscription for this from multiple resources that claim to work in the banking industry for example. That saw a unusual transfer made or something regarding a rumor like the Slot sacking.
Nobody actually has any info, it´s just probability, like most of the time it´s pretty obvious who is gonna move from their clubs or not. There is only a certain amount of clubs that can afford said player, so basically at the start it´s a competition between 5 clubs give or take one.
Some of those clubs will have players in players position so you can exclude them, like right now there is only us and maybe Arsenal after Barcola.
The club has put in so much work to get this transfer to happen so I predict it´s like a 85% certainty to happen right now. The only issue is the fee and because there are no better options we just have to swallow the price tag. The only way for Arsenal to swoop in is go in a bidding war and then increase the players pay check significantly to get him to sign for them.
Then he should know Arsenal have not followed him like Liverpool have. That brings up that probability to around 95% in my honest opinion.
There was literally no one that knew Araujo happened before it happened. If it has even happened.

9th August 2026 at 5:01 pm #252656Youre quire right Bingo, I get information from people and speak to them face to face (part of the job).
Most of those that get real deep inside information are paying for it and will be paid to pass any info on. What I get, when I get it is chatter, which sometimes is true, and sometimes not….thats life.
I said Friday would big…and could we say Araujo was an important signing??!_____________________________

9th August 2026 at 5:50 pm #252666Arsenal heavily linked in the media again today regarding Barcola.
The more we fuck around (see Semenyo, see Guehi) the less chance we have of getting him and him sodding off somewhere else. Likely doesn’t matter either way to Barcola deep down. As long as he’s not playing that second fiddle.
