Lots of different things that were wrong with us and went wrong. We were predominantly lost in style; slower and predictable. Easily fell into the hands of Teams playing the low block.
We were one dimensional. Lots of other contributing factors and of which we can draw a line under.

Seen a few comments about Maghnes Akliouche that we did a usual scouting job on him as a top team would do for any attainable talented player but that was all, so this is old news.
But could it have been purposely leaked? Talk is to play games with PSG over Barcola but I’m not convinced.
We have apparently walked away from Diomande (as have PSG) and then this comes out a couple of days later, are we playing games with Roc Nation? Still think there’s more to come in the Diomande saga.

Still don’t think the Diomande saga is completely over either.
We don’t normally put this amount of work in and then just walk away if the player hasn’t moved somewhere else or committed to somewhere else.That doesn’t mean it will get done.
Makes sense for us to size up other right sided options as Alikouche is being mentioned around the place this afternoon linked to ourselves.

It´s either one of Diomande or Barcola, maybe both, then a rightback or cover for both fullback position and possible a midfielder but I doubt we will get the midfielder.
I´m not worried about any time schedule for this just yet, there are still 2-3 weeks until we get our full squad back together and that would be the latest time we can sign players almost, if we wanna give them time with the team.
I reckon something will happen this week

Anybody else think the life that is sucked out of this happy-go-lucky yet frustrating thread at the best of time lol; oh I don’t know 🙂 We’ve lost our way. Not down to Jurgen or Arnie, but down to how this club has been ran.
The set up in the olden days used to be a Chairman underneath The Owner. It was more Simple and Straight-forward.
A great portion of the Summer spent is Speculation. Cynical, but half of the lot that hate us underlyingly will throw a Spanner in for the sake of it and Bid for the Player we are Bidding for to grind us down to a halt.

No but all of our CEOs are getting really old, all of them have entered into retiring age, they are not gonna stay there for the next 3-4 years.
So even if I am not buying this potential consortium there is talk.
It’s estimated that the club will be worth 7-8 billion in three years time.
So a offer for 1.35 billion is not enough unless Bezoz and that other guy are prepared to give the club very big commercial deals.
I don’t see it happening right now unless the bid gets closer to 2 billion or 1.85 billion

I reckon just about every USA citizen has finally figured out how tiny the superbowl is compared to Football, there might be a lot of new investors in the next couple of years or just this season. Currently we are the 5th biggest football club in the world, we are probably the 15th biggest sport franchise in the world and that is mostly due to licensing deals in USA. Those deals have already hit a threshold meanwhile football can grow so much.
We will see a deal happen next week, then another couple of deals will follow and everyone will forget this talk until January.

As soon as Leipzig get a replacement for Diomande they’ll let him go to PSG. I’ll bet my house that move happens.
I also think we’ll get Barcola within the next 7-10 days.

I´m not sure about that, I find it kind of curious that we are after both PSG targets, like if they steal Diomande from us we are gonna take Barcola and this new guy. Then I don´t think we have stopped talking to Diomande and PSG do not like that, they have often stopped talking to players that try to play them against another club.
The thing is neither Diomande, Barcola or the new lad is gonna be starting for PSG.

I’m fairly confident that we will sign both Barcola and Diomande. If we don’t then so be it, but like last year with Wirtz and then the double signing of Ekitike and Isak I’ll stand by my predication even if everyone else doubts it.

Diomande must have something but he looked so raw in the wc. As raw as Rio is now. 100m one good season in germany. Now potential is there but he looks ordinary at moment.
Barcola on other hand showed me hes a good player. Problem is after diomande i want think of many options. I like sarr off palace but again its not a signing that would really excite me
