Deadline day and we are still looking for a RW, DM, RB and possibly cover for ST. Hold onto your hats gents it’s going to be a wild day!!

Or possibly not. I think we are done in this window. How we have know about the right wing situation since March and not done anything defies belief. I am sure we have one or two top targets in mind who weren’t available (looking at you Olise and Rayan) but you’d think someone would have done, maybe hence the desperate scatter gun approach the last few days.

Right back is also much needed and our best RB is actually our best CM who doesn’t actually fit into our midfield.

I said a long time ago that Hughes and Edwards short term futures at the club would cause issues for this window but I think this has exceeded those concerns, especially if reports are true that Hughes has been working in parallel for Al-Hilal this window before his imminent move.

I might be wrong but I think Barcola took the last non HG spot so those calling for Camara or whoever we can’t register them unless we sell someone and that looks unlikely.

Looks like gakpo is staying which is good. Hes started well under iarola and i waa to harsh on him playing under slot.

I really struggle to see how we get into the top 5. This absolute bollix of playing szobo at rb really pisses me off. Its ridiculous and its going to continue

We are so lacking in strength in depth its actually shocking with hours left of the window.

On the 4 lads we have brought in, they all look like good players, problem is though its not enough considering where we were last season, the players that have left and the gaps in the squad.

Now the focus has shifted from Ndiaye –> Spurs to Ndiaye –> Man City. This is even more painful as it means that he’s not committed to a London Club move for family/personal reasons. If the only block towards us not showing an interest is because we would have to offload Endo or Chiesa first, then nothing is making any sense.

All our rivals are making huge signings and we’re happy to just get barcola.

I agree with some others, that we will struggle to make champions league for next season.

Our squad is already threadbare, but we continue to let players leave for peanuts or for free.

But what if we cant offload Chiesa or Endo? Maybe they don’t want to go. Maybe Chiesa’s 150k a week salary means no one will touch him?

Said before, you cannot force a player to go that is under contract.

Freezing them out is a bad idea for the long run, it’s a terrible way to treat employees and future targets will take note. Financially makes no sense either.
