Really hoping a CDM is signed. The centre mid is massively short at the moment. I actually prefer Szobo as a Rb, Rw or number 10.

31st August 2026 at 2:23 pm #255271Yay. I see we finally have the ‘Melwood Lean’ from Barcola.
Jesus H, that was a long job. Welcome lad and expect Gakpo now to piss off down the East Lancs.

31st August 2026 at 2:34 pm #255276I doubt money is the problem, there is no issue with throwing out 30 million for a young keeper even if he only joins up next season, same with the young striker from France. It does not hurt the club. We got plenty money, I donยดt like Sarr or Minteh. Buying either one of them would be the definition of a panic buy

31st August 2026 at 2:38 pm #25527822 million an absolute steal for Daniel Munoz from Palace to Forest. 30 years isn’t that bad age-wise.

31st August 2026 at 2:40 pm #255281Looks like it’s Gakpo or Muยคoz on the right for Liverpool this season then, barring any big surprises by the end of the transfer window tomorrow.

31st August 2026 at 2:42 pm #255283“The noises coming out of Liverpool is that they won’t be making any more signings, unless there are outgoings first.” – BBC.
Nil, like Frimpong Munoz is a wing back that plays with a back 3 protecting him, would be more or less the same issues.

31st August 2026 at 2:42 pm #255284all the right words in that interview, hopefully we can teach him some scouse soon enough… He spent the time waiting on the news with his family, only wants to play football and the reason why Liverpool is the fans. He is gonna be a legend for us.

31st August 2026 at 3:15 pm #255293Rob just like I donยดt believe all those rumors about incoming players, I do not believe the rumors about our outgoing players. We have zero footballing reasons to sell Gakpo, in fact we will make our squad way worse by selling him. The interest in him will remain next January, next summer cause he is capable player in his own right. He is also a different kind of player to anyone we got right now, like I can see him coming on when nothing works for the first team and popping up with the odd goal or assist. We could play close to 60 games this season if all goes right. Why sell him when he is under a long term contract? He is a good professional player and respect him for the bounce in form he is having right now, it was tough season for him, tough world cup. Horrible news during the world cup and here he is scoring for us. If he actually wants to move to just start again with his fiance or wife in a new environment after the news this summer I would not begrudge him the move but he would not move out of his house if he transferred to City. I could see a move to London to start a new life or abroad. Like I bet he would make a good player for Atletico Madrid. I just donยดt see a footballing reason to sell him!

31st August 2026 at 3:31 pm #255300Bingo, I think Gakpo’s move will be completely contingent on Sarr/Minteh coming in but nothing happening either way wouldn’t surprise me.

31st August 2026 at 3:42 pm #255303When was the last time we bought a 27 year old or a 28 year old player? Itยดs way more likely that their agents have dropped the clubs name into the discussion than anything else.
I think it was 3ps or was it moonster, does not matter, who stated that one ITK had almost predicted Araujo but that was just a bet on that we would either sign him or Kounde. I actually thought that Kounde might be on the way and had mentioned him as a potential target but I could never have predicted Araujo.
Like right now all it takes is a small bribe and everyone will start linking Macca with City. Itยดs just bullshit based on odds.

31st August 2026 at 3:53 pm #255305Endo, Thiago, Woodman, van Dyke (almost 27 I think), Milner. Going back Riedle, Lambert, Toure, Bellamy, McAllister, the Greek wrestler looking fella, Kyrgiakos. It happens.

31st August 2026 at 3:58 pm #255306Defenders are a bit different to other players and he was the worldยดs best defender, Thiago was the best player on the planet IMHO. Milner of course but he was a free transfer. You canยดt go too far back as that is not FSG and they have a pretty defined transfer strategy!
Then we are talking about freebies or players for cheap. FSG are not gonna sanction a 60-75 million transfer for a old player with no resale value.

31st August 2026 at 4:07 pm #255309Djylian NโGuessan actually had his birthday yesterday, so happy birthday lad.
Frankfurt was after him, they got a good track record of spotting young players, he has a pretty impressive transfermarkt https://www.transfermarkt.com/djylian-nguessan/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/1200419
He is playing with the French u20 which is pretty good for a 17 year kid, despite not scoring he was averaging at least one half or 45 minutes. He went into that squad as soon as he turned 17. 5 Million might be a bargain for him.

Not guilty. The Araujo deal came out of the blue as it was his agent that approached LFC, previously to that, there was no contact.

31st August 2026 at 4:22 pm #255312BTW Iยดm not known to be the most levelheaded dude around this forum during the transfer window but I thought we had all grown out of believing every rumor there is. The only thing I like about the window is when it closes I can calculate my prediction for the season.
