2nd February 2026 at 10:43 am #238372Spurs tend to have a knack for ripping us a new one every time.. i will be weary of their pace in behind our defence as we canβt sit n defend compact against βSPURSβ. Also will give Sesko a start at No.9

2nd February 2026 at 11:14 am #238377I actually hope we play compact and hit them on the counter; they’ll take heart from the City draw but they are still nothing special. We should keep the formation going, expect Dalot (who was suspect defensively for the goals again) going out and Mazraoui in.
Lammens
Mazraoui – Maguire – Martinez – Shaw
Mainoo – Casemiro
Amad – Fernandes – Cunha

4th February 2026 at 10:01 am #238528Spurs are like we’ve been for the past few years, able to up their game for the big clubs but losing to teams from the bottom half. They’ll be dangerous especially as Solanke seems to be hitting a vein a form. Still, on current evidence, c’mon lads, it’s Spurs

6th February 2026 at 9:00 am #238598If we’re smart and we seem to be playing smart under Carrick there are areas that we can look to exploit, Archie Gray was at right back last weekend, he’s a good player but he’s not a right back if he’s deployed there again, Cunha will have to be told to target him.

6th February 2026 at 10:15 am #238602Quite compact at the moment but with a more attacking threat.

6th February 2026 at 2:47 pm #238619Well keeping Casemiro on the pitch for the whole game should at least stop us conceding 3 ridiculous goals from nowhere. But the main point is scoring isn’t it. It was the big issue in Amorim’s team it just didn’t seem to be set up to score 3, 4 or 5 goals in a game. If you do that it doesn’t matter if you ship a couple.
Carrick has pushed Bruno up the pitch where he’s creating big chances in every game he plays. He’s got 12 assists so far this season, the record is 20 and you wouldn’t bet against him getting close to that.
And Mbeumo and Cunha can score goals from almost nothing.
So i’d expect us to concede because, ye know, we have Dalot in our team and shit like that. But you’d also fancy us to score a few.
So maybe a 2-1 or 3-1 hopefully._____________________________

6th February 2026 at 3:05 pm #238620Problem with keeping Casemiro on the pitch is once he’s got a yellow card the risk is just too big. Hopefully he can stay out of the referee’s vision until the game is almost done because the drop off when Ugarte comes on instead is fucking ridiculous.

6th February 2026 at 3:24 pm #238621Spurs seem to have an issue at right back but Cunha isnβt the type of player to stay outwide he drifts infield and gets involved with the build up play..
Spurs do seem like the kinda team we should beat easily as even under Amorim we did also outplay them, just the same issue of conceding unnecessary goals out of nothing and expect Dalot to he his usual useless self.
