Indeed Brian. I guess the collapse of the Super League hurt those 2 clubs more than any other also.
I’m not really sure what Barca are trying to do with their side either. Didn’t they buy Aubameyang in January and Ferran Torres the previous season. Now they bring in Lewandowski for big money. They seem all over the place even now in terms of who they want to bring in. No forward thinking at all, which is what got then into this mess in the first place.

I refrain from paying any attention to this particular club for those very reasons Adlab. They’re in a bubble of their own, though my little brother likes them haha.
I was impressed with Real Madrid’s conduct though in the final even though we lost. I do still feel though these 2 clubs somehow never get completely thrown off their throne. They must have been a born ‘Monarchy’ haha 🙂

Agree about Arsenal Sean. I’m glad they’re keeping Arteta as a Utd fan. He’s coming into his third seasoning they’re no better than when he joined.
Yeah, what a weird move for Lingard. 1 year deal as well 😄. Had a chance to go to West Ham and fight for a European spot. He’s 29 and there was even talk about the MLS. Main thing for him is that he has enough time left for his Tiktok videos.

Forest seem to be doing what Fulham did a few seasons ago. Buying championship players but I think copper is an excellent manager and forest have a good chance of staying up

Looks like a proper new era for Arteta. Maybe a blessing with no Aubameyang. I know it was a friendly, but possibly with the addition of new signings including Jesus, a surprise package for next season.

I think Mikus that’s always been a standout for now 17 years ever since Viera left. I liked Wenger’s ideology to a great extent and Arteta is following that line, but they need aggression in there for sure. Pretty football alone is not sustainable to overcome some tough opposition and for 38 plus matches.
