It doesn’t matter if they sell their youth players. They’ve been fined and have a suspended transfer ban because they’ve broken the rules. It makes an absolute mockery of said rules when they can then just go and spend £300m in the summer window and that’s so far!
This is a club that spent £1bn on players a couple of years ago. £1bn!!!

I think he’s a good player Jumpers, no doubt mate, but I reckon I could have got better value for a 100 mill. Not sure whether he’s a holder, box-to-boxer or playmaker. And I just looked at the Newcastle three of Tonali, Guimaraes and Joelinton and thought if they were that good, surely Newcastle would have finished higher than they did.

they had a lot of injuries to contend with JM, especially with Joelinton. the other two needed that sort of physical presence alongside them. but when they were a 3 prior to Joelinton’s injury I thought they were in contention of being the best midfield in the prem. and on Tonali, I think he can do a bit of everything but his main talent is in breaking up play. he always knows where to be to get the ball back.

I thought Tonali could have done a very good job for us for the next 5 years and we should have paid the money. We need players who will get us to the next level and should sign at least 2 of those types every season until we do. If hoping this season is a one off to reduce the transfer debt and we can move forward from here.
