It would have been nuts for Villa not to have accepted Chelsea’s offer for Rogers also Villa have sold fringe players as well as players from 28years and above and replaced them with young talented prospects.
City have always sold their academy or fringe players for huge amounts such as palmer, lavia, Delap, bobb, Cuoto, Mctee etc they have made over 250M from just selling academy players. They have mastered the art of never selling a player well below their valuation.

@jm that’s a flawed way to look at it … City have never hanged on to a player when they decide you gotta go you get gone … Yaya Toure, KDB, kompany, Silva, Gundogan amongst others. If anything we are the only club who holds onto players when we shouldn’t.
Chelsea ain’t stinking rich in oil money neither is pool who just sold that oaf Curtis jones for 35M plus 10% sell-on to Inter Milan but they always sell their players for the right price.
