Mak, I don’t agree with anything Moos has said on this thread but it’s best left to the Ed to deal with his post to Moos is pretty clear if Moos is sensible he will take note of what the Ed has said going forwards.

Just to clarify lads, while no one earth, including those nearest Gary Speed, know why he suffered with mental health issues, what exactly it was or why he took his own life, I think moos may be trying to refer to potential abuse Speed may have suffered as a minor.
There is a link to a particular coach and four other men who were coached by this person as minors have taken their own lives.
Why moos feels justified in posting the nonsense he has based on this I do not know, and I for one will not engage with any of his posts ever again.

LD, those issues (if that’s what he’s talking about) would be causes for depression. The vast majority of people (Im pretty sure it’s upwards of 95% but dont sue me) of people who suffer from depression, do so as a result of environment factors. That being that they have something in their lives that has lead them there.
I guess chatting with you is fine but I will not interact with the troll in this thread again.

Unfortunately my brother died from
Suicide moos. Our family will never recover but I don’t for one second think he was in the right state of mind when he took that decision Tragic loss abd we miss him every day_____________________________

Ya Sean, I remember you talking about this before. Life is hard and also cruel. Problems that we faced easily enough at one stage, can seem insurmountable at another.
Remember the good things and if you drink, toast your brother every now and then. As an atheist, this is as close as I get to praying, I suppose.

I think there is 2 ways to look at this and what certain people are attempting but not very well to say, is firstly that it takes a hell of a lot to have happened for anyone to go to such extremes as taking your own life, nothing really justifies something like that cause there’s always hope, secondly the real sufferers are the people they leave behind, can you imagine the grief, the anguish, the pain as some of us even on here have experienced that they leave behind. We can all really sympathize to such a sad event. In this case his wife discovered what she described as a horrifying sight that still gives her nightmares. Anyway enough said about this, let’s rather stick to football, you cannot undo the past.

Blaze, inclined to agree with those comments. There is now more awareness raised concerning Mental Health, e.g. in the workplace.
Sadly, nobody really would know what is going through one’s mind. Depression is deep-seated and takes exploration.
There’s no room for judgement but instead Consideration and Respect.
