Szoboszlai easily MOTM for me, he’s a playmaker, free-kick taker and non-stop all action midfielder all rolled into one.

Normal opposition goalkeeper performance and we’d have been out of sight and cruising. Agree with all said, Wirtz, Szoboszlai very good but Bradley best performance from him since last time we played Real.
Most pleasing thing? Probably the intensity.

A lot of talk about Villa playing into our hands. To an extent Real did the same, but we had to work bloody hard for that tonight given their quality.

Re my comment that got cut off above…
I meant to say that Wirtz hasn’t got the pace to play on the left, so his best position for us, in most games, is through the middle as a No. 10.
Though he did quite well tonight, running his socks off.
But the reason we controlled the game was because we used our same, tried and tested midfield, so that’s why Wirtz was stuck out on the left today, and as a false 9, against Villa.

Commentator during the villa game made a good point that whilst Villa, Real and City seems a daunting task when out of form it could be a blessing as our achilles heal is the long ball over the midfield which none of them play.
Not going to take anything away from tonight’s performance however. Shape looked good, intensity was good, the midfield looked balanced with Wirtz free roleing in from the left. Don’t want to say I told you so about Wirtz on the left, but…
