When I went to watch them play Leicester last year, only 4 players were more busier than others; running around both on and off the ball; Diaz, Bradley, Zobo and MacAllister. These guys are trained and paid athletes.
They really should not feel that tired. Ordinary folk e.g doing physical work for 8 hours and beyond, and they’re the ones feeling tired.

27th January 2026 at 10:25 pm #237932Nil last time I did some work a couple of months ago, I did 395 hours in 19 days, the strange thing is that I had a whole day of doing nothing on land because of bad weather. I was on duty for over 20 hours every day, I got maybe a 3 hour nap every day. That is tired, these primadonnas can´t talk about being tired!

27th January 2026 at 10:41 pm #237933Bingo, that’s a hell of a lot of hours! Hats off to you mate, for real. Take care and look after your well being. That’s important and make sure you allow yourself some down time.
I think we need somebody new in to Reset the culture and ethic or remind them at least as to how lucky they are and the Bubble they are in.

27th January 2026 at 11:49 pm #237934I got paid so I´m not complaining but it is still just a fraction of what these guys get and they complain and complain about playing football, it should be a privilege and nothing else.

28th January 2026 at 6:26 am #237935Ordinary folk should never compare their work to that of a trained athlete. If those guys performance drops 1% it matters, for you guys no one would notice. Its not the same.
As for what they get paid yeah it’s OTT, but it’s supply and demand. The pubkic demands to watch them so are happy to pay Sky billions each year, which then results in bigger and bigger wages. If it was a well paid easy job that just anyone could do then sign me up! But it’s not.
As for the game I just hope they play with intensity so to ignite the amfield crowd. If it goes quiet and tepid or even worse groans start to appear we could be in trouble. We should have enough to beat theses at home however, lady luck smiled on us with the draw.

28th January 2026 at 10:00 am #237942We all get days where we much rather be somewhere else, don’t really feel up to it or like it. But never the less, try and dedicate ourselves to a 100%
I think that’s the whole point of this. There’s the lower leagues with ground with non state of the art facilities that would open up these players eyes.
These guys in the Prem have so much luxury, and are pampered. The players know themselves it’s a short lived career and therefore should count their lucky stars and make the most of what’s there and most of all play for the Badge!!!

28th January 2026 at 11:23 am #237947threeps, my pay directly follows how busy the boat I am on is and people do notice because if I have a slow day at work as the people in the small town I land my fish is not gonna get to work either. I´m sick and tired of hearing players on 300k on week talk about how tired they are or how few days they get off every year. It would be easier for me to count the birthday parties and xmas parties I´ve been able to go to than the ones I did not get to go to. They complain about being away from home during Champions League nights or being on the road at a 5 star hotel with a private flight.
I did not turn on the tv to listen to my captain complain, or the head coach giving out excuses about a little bit of wind, half the time I am lucky to even be able to watch a game.
I´ve had cousins that have gone pro in football, nobody has reached the very top of the football pyramid but playing for a club in the Championsship is a better job than 97% can dream off. You are earning about the same as a trawler fisherman on a good boat does. Except you work on average 4 hours a day.
points for anyone who can guess my cousins name.

28th January 2026 at 12:36 pm #237951there are no family names in Iceland but it is Jón Daði Böðvarsson https://www.transfermarkt.com/jon-dadi-bodvarsson/profil/spieler/114090
Never the best player but he had a respectable career, did his thing with the national team as well before that team went to shit.
back to his home club, which is one of the smaller teams of Iceland. Hopefully he can drag them up a division again.

28th January 2026 at 1:45 pm #237956Circumstances have otherwise made us think twice in letting go of Andy Robertson. And for now he’s staying. He’s one the better Pros I’ve come across in the game right now for both Club and Country. Bradley another. Chiesa too with a good attitude. Matip instrumental example. Gomez adding to that.
We need good attitude out there and players willing to go above and beyond no laziness and half-hearted responses to clearances, defending and the general leg work beyond 90 minutes.
No easy ride me thinks Tonight. We need to avoid play offs as it will only add as ammunition to fire more excuses and hide behind ‘too many games’ not enough in the squad etc etc.

28th January 2026 at 1:48 pm #237957Bingo, long hours yes, and a living to earn as well as bills to pay, but recognize the fact that you have with you the right attitude and commitment; plus your dedication in serving. And rightly so you are rewarded accordingly with the right pay.

28th January 2026 at 6:33 pm #237968Lads, Grav or Endo at the back. I’d personally put Grav back there and Endo in mid. I definitely expect both to start.
