Brian, Abramovich will never deal with Spurs on transfers in or out after the Modric debacle, Kane was never coming to Chelsea.

Kane will either join City or stay at Spurs imo.

That bad is it Nine? I am thinking of writing a personal letter to Kane asking him to stay where he is and enjoy the rest of his football life. I think this is what fans hate most..the will he, won’t he scenario…but I have given my reasons why he should not move to City, not that he would take any notice. I am surprised at Pep going for him though.

All is not lost Brian. I read today that there were unsubstantiated rumours that Kane might sign a new improved contract at Spurs. You wouldn’t rule it out would you!🤣🤣🤣🤣

My guess now Nine…is he will sign a great new deal with Spurs, play against us and score. Such is life. I will not be losing any sleep over it

ya, Kane returning to training probably means a deal is in the offing. I have to say though, I think he’d have done well at City. Im glad he is seemingly not going now but I’ll believe it when the contract is announced.

I don’t think it’s as cut and dried as that yet fellas as per Paul Robinson in today’s Standard below:

“I think there’s going to be a lot more to this story in the coming weeks when things start to unravel.

“The manager’s saying he’s available for selection against Manchester City on Sunday, but I find that strange given he’s only trained for a few days and not played any minutes in pre-season games. I can’t see how that can happen.

“If the manager does start putting him in to squads and into the team while the situation is not resolved, I think we’ll end up in a similar situation to when Christian Eriksen was there – sitting on the bench, not playing to his full potential when called upon.

“That upset the rest of the dressing room, in all honesty, and I think the way this has been handled has not been good for either party. It’s very difficult to keep a player happy when he wants to leave.

“I don’t think there’s a possibility that he can stay there now.”

However the problem is Levy’s alleged valuation, City’s alleged valuation of the player, the fact that any transfer would probably need to involve City players in part exchange which might be difficult to get them to agree to.

Be suprised if Kane starts v City he’s not yet training with the Spurs squad and it would be asking a lot of him both physically and mentally.

1. Levy smiling, Spurs win 2-0 and saying to Pep, price just gone up, we want 175 million now

2. City winning….Mr Levy we can play without Kane

Yes , it is a strange opening match, they had to get something going to get London crowds back in. It sonly a game

Can’t see Kane playing on Sunday he’s yet to be cleared to train with the team perhaps on the bench but I doubt his head will be at 100% for this game.

Big call either way for this game.

There was some poll done amongst 20 broadcasting professionals, about where teams will finish. Liverpool were locked in at 4th there also. I;m kinda surprised. I mean, I understand it in a way, Utd and Chelsea are coming on heavy but Liverpool were back to business at the end of last season. This is not me saying we’ll definitely finish higher than 4th! I;m just surprised that pretty much EVERYONE gives us very little chance of anything.

I have us down for 1st and I was tempted to change it. I’d be further tempted if City bought kane but… not enough. Whether we’re quite that good or not, I think we’ll at least remind everyone (including LFC fans) what this team and Klopp are about.

I absolutely cant wait for the season to kick off. fans and all back! it’s gonna be electric.

Mak, I think plenty of people think Liverpool can give it a really good shot again this season. The bookies odds tend to reflect overall public opinion as well as anything and Liverpool are 3rd favourites, only marginally behind Chelsea. Many bookies actually have both Chelsea and Liverpool at 5/1.

I think Liverpool could easily get second with that squad. 1st is pretty much gone now assuming Kane goes to City but 2nd is up for grabs.

I’m basing my predictions on the squad reforcements so I still believe the 2 Manchester clubs will fight if out with Chelsea who have a tough few games in the beginning to fight it out with Liverpool for 3rd place. I have no idea who the surprise team will be.

If Kane does eventually go to City and there seems to be a ground swell of opinion in the papers that a deal will be struck worth circa £130m after the Spurs v City game on Sunday then everyone else is probably playing for 2nd place.

OK guys..I do not like predicting but hope this selection gives you soon food for thought

If City buy Kane we will finish 3rd, maybe 4th then I will see either

Liverpool or Leicester to be top with Chelsea and Utd going for the 2/3 spots

Kane cannot guarantee us anything least of all to keep fit enough, it could be Peps biggest mistake and his downfall at City. I just fail to see what he will do better to improve the team, I am really dismayed by this move if it comes off and I have never felt that way against any other player over the years of watching City EXCEPT for Rodney Marsh and Steve Daley

All about opinions Brian personally I think Leicester will do well to finish in the top 4.

You can never say never in football but I can’t see any way City will finish 3rd or 4th with or without Kane. But we’ll see.😊
