Steve – Can’t really see past Conte or Emery with the criteria you’ve set there. I do hope they don’t still have thoughts of Southgate. Even Eddie Howe would be a disaster for us.

For me, and I’ve said this before. I’d have roy Keane as manager and Wayne Rooney as assistant. They were united players. Proper proper players. They would call a spade a spade and get stuck into the players. The issue isn’t just appointing a manager, it’s are you going to stick with them, are you going to back them. If those boys came in, Keane would say it like it is. Problem is the cancer was already in the blood of our club at that point and he was kicked out for it as a player. Which was absolutely disgraceful. That should have been the writing on the wall for every supporter to see what we had become. So Keane is what we need but they’d kick him out for not towing the party line, and they wouldn’t fucking back him with actual ‘best in class’ players either. Shame really as I could see players wanting to play for Rooney and Keane. They’d have a shot of starting this open heart surgery that we so obviously need.

It doesn’t take a fortune teller to see things won’t get better.. the signs have been there towards the end of last season and it will only get worse. But after sacking him they will go make things worse and there still won’t be a massive clear out of these shite players.
