Wirtz is becoming some player, he excites me more than Coutinho on the ball, he even excites me more than Bobby in some way. He got great vision and when the team gets a greater understanding of what is going on in his brain he will dominate the league.

31st January 2026 at 10:21 pm #238188Ekitike almost has that air of Torres about him. So silky up top with his finishing.

31st January 2026 at 11:21 pm #238195No chance Song. Torres was really something extremely special. Brutal from anywhere with any foot or head. Love Ekitike but he’s not Torres.

1st February 2026 at 6:36 am #238197Thought for 30 minutes we were dreadful. Too slow letting Newcastle regain their shape which fell exactly in to their counter attack plans. Slot was being out thought.
But then he changed it, we saw more fast transitions which suit us and didn’t give them time to regroup. Their goal was actually slightly against the run of play at that time.
After that we played some good stuff. Wirtz and Ekitite (not Torres level) are wonderful to watch, both technically so good and there’s an understanding developing with them.

1st February 2026 at 9:51 am #238203Eitike has really surprised me. I knew he was good but his turn off pace is unreal.
Hes a much better finisher i thought.
Great win i predicted 3 wins from 3 and i think we will beat city

1st February 2026 at 12:20 pm #238214threeps I agree, it looked like we would concede 2-3 goals from set pieces there in the first 30-35 minutes. Albeit Szoboszlai did decent there as a fullback you could see that he did not know where to position himself when defending a corner. IΒ΄m not sure if Slot had anything to do with the chance, it just seemed to me that the lads stop going for those longballs that we had been using for the first 30-35 minutes. Wirtz just took command of the ball and started driving us further upfield. Konate was also massive for us, this was his best game of the season, I did not see him lose a single dual. I still hope he signs a new contract, he is just coming into his prime, I know some of you donΒ΄t rate him but he is still a young defender who just became the head of the family in a way. The only consistent problem he has is his injury record, only twice played over 40 games a season. ItΒ΄s mostly muscle injuries, torn some muscle or another. I feel like those injuries should stop with proper training.

Totally disagree Rob. Ekitike is far stronger, faster, more robust and more versatile than Torres ever was, he can even play on the left. And he has swagger and self-confidence in abundance,a superstar in the making.
I confidently predict Ekitike will be a better striker for Liverpool than Torres.

1st February 2026 at 12:45 pm #238230Torres was a superstar, not one in the making. Surely that means he’s better?
An argument that uses predictions is not an argument with merit. Ekitike could be better, or he could do his ACL in and never recover. But comparing him now to peak Torres and the Spainard is a fair bit ahead.

1st February 2026 at 12:50 pm #238231Let’s wait and see then, give them 2 or 3 seasons and we’ll see who’s right then.
As I stated earlier, Ekitike is faster, more versatile and more robust than Torres, for a start.

Wrong, predictions based on facts, are the big calls, that make you the big money, or avoid the big mistakes in life.
Like predicting Isa was a big risk to Liverpool (or rather advising us NOT to sign him) due to the two significant factors, at the same time, of being highly injury-prone and ludicrously overpriced.
