Lucky chum, Chelsea are badly missing Kante. He is Chelsea’s most important player.
Chelsea are now conceding goals. Maybe that’s because the back 3 keeps changing? No way would I write them off. An excellent side. Dominated Burnley, utd and Everton but not taking their chances

Sean I agree kante is a big loss along with kovacic and chilwell, that would for sure make chelsea harder to play through.
To be fair though it was a set piece yesterday that equalised for Everton, and as has been common this season if we took our chances it wouldn’t have mattered.

Ps it is such a shame that kante has gone from playing over 30 league games a season for us to barely half the games the last 2 seasons and so far this season barely a third. I’m worried he is breaking down and that we will never see him at his best again for a sustained period to be honest.

Chelsea are 4 points behind City. Hearing some Chelsea fans talking about hoping to hang onto 3rd is barmy. They’re still very much in this title race. They’re in a blip, that’s all. All 3 have had to hang on and scrape through recently in games they should be easily winning. Liverpool found it tricky against Villa and Newcastle. Chelsea against Leeds and Everton. City against Wolves. All sides they should be beating comfortably. It happens and it’s just about getting through this blip now without too much damage.

Didn’t see that here Ed but hoping for 3rd minimum is not that barmy is it considering the competition?
Sure in terms of what we really hope for it would be 1st, if not then 2nd but really really hope it’s not lower than 3rd 😊
You can still call it a 3 horse race Ed because with 4 points between 1st and 3rd with 17 played it certainly is, but we just went 7 games played 3 wins, 3 draws 1 loss. If that form picks up and we win 5 on the bounce we may feel a little more confident but as it is we have to acknowledge we are 3rd favourites as city an pool have proved their ability to maintain their standards over last 3/4 years and keep picking up 3 points most weeks.

No I don’t think I’ve seen it here Lucky. Just from reading various forums and Social media. Oh you’re definitely 3rd favourites as things stand. City and Liverpool are a class above the rest, for sure. But the top 3 are as safe a top 3 as you’re going to get. There’s no way any of them drop out of the top 3 now. It would require an almighty collapse.

No excuses last night’s Chelsea team should have been good enough to beat Everton and Chelsea would have been comfortably out of sight by half time had we taken some of our many chances we didn’t nor did we play to the level of the first half still missed various chances and at one nil up only a dead ball situation was going to be dangerous and so it proved a stupid free kick given away poor defending and Everton equalised.
Frustrating but we only have ourselves to blame.
Last night Chelsea were missing from their starting eleven Chilwell, Kante, Kovacic,Lukaku, Werner, Havertz and Hudson Odoi 5 or 6 of those would be starters that’s 50% plus of the outfield starters.
I don’t think things will settle down at Chelsea until the baulk of those players are back playing regularly.
Mathematically a title challenge is still possible realistically Chelsea’s best opportunity is 3rd place imo.

3rd place is obviously preferable if Chelsea drop out of the title race but whether it’s 3rd or 4th is not tremendously important finishing in a CL place though is very very important.
When Chelsea have a wider choice of players consistently available I think they will have enough to finish 3rd.

Imo once everyone is going again hopefully as soon as possible it’s going to be a 4 way battle for 3rd and 4th, Chelsea, Spurs, United and Arsenal. Also they need to stop all games right away as clearly the situation is worsening and the more games or social activities there are the more it spreads.

Nine sorry mate not being funny but when mak spoke about Liverpool-missing 5 out of our 8 midfielders a few months ago,it was called moaning about injuries but in most posts from you, you talk about players Chelsea are missing??? So is that not moaning mate?
Look at Chelsea’s team last night with all those injuries. Shows how their squad is one of the best in the league.

Yeah I think we’ve all been through similar problems with injuries. Chelsea and City are certainly more equipped than anyone to deal with it as they have such big, strong squads. That Everton side were completely decimated last night as well. Chelsea’s side was still incredibly strong, unlike Everton’s. That’s the difference between the likes of City, Chelsea and other sides struggling with injuries, which is most sides in the league.

Ed, in terms of fighting for champs league place I agree but if you want to compete for premiership title which is 90+ ,points you pretty much need at least 9 of your best players playing most weeks as the quality is what matters.
You can talk about the size of our squad all day long but how many of our players would get in to city or pool team?
I wouldnt disagree for one second that we have a big advantage over 16 prem teams and a slight advantage over utd, but in terms of challenging the top 2 our second eleven means bugger all when neither pool fans or city fans would take many of our first 11 in their teams imo

And my question would have been relevant as to why long term injuries matter but seeing as you are just on hypocrite patrol it don’t matter.

Chelsea play with one striker. They play two behind who could be two out of pulsic, havertz, Werner, mount, Hudson odi and lift us cheek or rlc can play in midfield. Chilwell is our, Alonso who is excellent in a back 5 or wing back comes in. Dave can play rwb if janes out. He can also play as one of the back 3 alongside rudiger, silva, Christiansen etc. it’s a brilliant squad
The problem is pulsic can’t stay fit. What a player he is when on song. Werner and hevertz have no were lived up to their potential. All extremely good players but it’s not happening.
Liverpool have a fantastic first 11. Didn’t we debate this a few weeks ago?
People lose their perspective after a few bad results. So who out reds to be replaced in Chelsea’s best fittest starting 11 lucky chum?

Not at all lucky. Can I not call out what I see? Nothing to get out of the system at all. I’m just debating. That’s it. It’s a forum. No hard feelings intended at all and nine k led me long enough but mak was told there was no point in moaning about injuries and yet nine mentions them all the time 😂
