Ed, only ole ever had doubts over sancho bud, he is a class player and perfect winger for the modern game. Any good coach would see that look to maximise his potential. You have no worries at all with him imo.

I’ve gotta say this title race is going to be thrilling! I can’t remember the last time 3 clubs were genuinely this neck and neck in it.
I’m really admiring Chelsea. Tuchel seems to have them purring like a well oiled machine. So hard to break down. I’m tipping them to take out the league this season. They seem to have so much depth in their squad

Yeah foxy, it’s usually one or two teams breaking away but it’s genuinely a three horse race thus year and I can’t recall that happening before either bud.

I remember the debate between Neville & Carra some years ago and how full backs tended to either be failed centre backs or failed wingers. But it’s arguably now one of the key areas of the football pitch. Are players now going to be developed to be right/wing backs as part of their youth development? I guess most players with any attacking skill are always still going to want to play up top.

I think the closest the table has finished in the last 10 years was the 13/14 season when Liverpool stumbled at the end. Off memory there was 4 points between 1st and 3rd but Chelsea, who finished 3rd weren’t really genuine contenders from what I recall and sort of made a late rally that skewed the standings.

There’s a very good chance all the PL sides top their groups which would be great going into the knockout phase. I can only see Bayern or PSG stopping a PL side winning it again this season.

I think were Liverpool have the advantage is upfront where they have 4 or 5 forwards, all very capable of scoring regularly, United too have Ronaldo and Cavani, but Chelsea and City have to rely all around the field for their goals and a team does really need a regular goal getter that can score 20 plus goals.

I’m not sure that is a disadvantage Rover if I’m honest. Chelsea have that player in Lukaku. They’ve arguably been a better side in his absence. I think we’re moving away from a reliance on the forward to score the goals.

Foxy, ye I fancy Chelsea aswell. Absolute machine of a team. They just don’t concede goals. When they are missing key players, others come in and do a great job. City and Chelsea have the best squads
I can see Liverpool fading away soon as our lack of squad depth is being tested now and we concede far to many chances compared to city and Chelsea
Salah and mane missing in jan is a massive blow but the club knew that was coming. So hopefully a plain place but it be a top 3 from Bobby, jota, origi and Minamino which I’m not sure will get us through that phase of games
I think we have a good chance of giving the cl a real go though
