Chelsea on freefall and 3-0 down on their own patch. If we can’t even bother to turn up this Saturday and win comprehensively, then I really do give up.

4th May 2026 at 5:46 pm #245199They are the only team in the PL that has a higher out ran per game percentage than us. Also in my opinion the only team that is underperforming more than us for the talent at their disposal.
Hmmmm wonder if those two things could be connected?

4th May 2026 at 6:16 pm #245200The one correlation I do see is lacking in leadership and discipline. I’ve come across reports of players during downtime using this as ‘holiday’. If they are galivanting around that they should be who is there to take them to task if necessary?
Some and the same handful of players underperforming and exhausted. Just compounds to everything else on our plate.

4th May 2026 at 11:01 pm #245207The more I think about this first up, the more Hill Dickinson reminds me of the King Power (Walkers in it’s inception 2003). WOW! GUEHI First Up! He is Human and weirdly, a Demba Ba moment (bar the non-slip).
So many Liverpool type of reminders tonight. Like I thought only we were cursed with a curse.
Doku reminded me of a last minute Sadio Mane saving their blushes. I thought Everton just had it in for us, but boy did they Rock up. I don’t know whether Rodri was missed for them or some type of a defensive midfielder. No too sure about Kovacic.
City should beat Brentford this Saturday and West Ham are really fighting for their lives, so another twist is not out of the Question.

5th May 2026 at 12:32 am #245208Sean, in agreement. The price tag is nothing to do with Florian but for 116m it’s been utter cack. Flashes here and there isn’t worthy of 116m.
Like I’ve said, if he was at another top team, his stats would be Leverkusen comparable. Same with ding dong Frimpong.
It’s us, the environment (everything is environmental), Slot and his moribund tactics. Players are not ‘alive’ and that’s my major bastard concern.

5th May 2026 at 1:36 am #245209please dudes stop giving a fuck about player prices, there is no difference between this fee and for some random player we payed 11.6 million some time ago, or Isak and his fee from Stan Collymore…
The fees don´t matter as long as they perform, we could pay 500 million for a player tomorrow and if that player would give us 10 league titles it would be considered the best buy of all times.
Everyone out there with a an eye for football can see that Wirtz can be better than Coutinho in the long run, we bought Coutinho for 10 million or something and sold him for 100 something, the same can happen for these players!
Except we paid 100 something and can sell them for a potential billion, so shut the fuck up about these prices.
Even though it´s not gonna be a billion any time soon but it will happen eventually! If the club got money to spare then it needs to invest and we are gonna see the same outlay this summer, I guarantee it.

Whilst id certainly agree with the sentiment that hes been poor, consider what hes also doing for Germany….hes on fire for them.
Yes, every player is in control of their performances but the absoulte dropping off of form from the likes of Mo, Konate, VVD, Robbo, Mac Allister and Grav….is it actually something else affecting his and the others form this season?

5th May 2026 at 9:53 am #245220It wouldn’t be unusual for thoughts to be in the back of the minds of fans on both our British Record Signings. It’s not even laughter, it’s a Shambles to what we have become. On top of that, we buy a supposed right-back that plays right midfield and a midfielder inserted as a right-back.
I can quite simply see from the outside in suspicion a divide or ‘creative differences’ between Slot and the Board.
A similar type of pattern or parallel to Rodgers back in 2015 with all those signings at once and Steven Gerrard leaving.
The thing right now is who really is young and hungry with pedigree and passion like a Jurgen Klopp that we can hire to transform us?

5th May 2026 at 11:29 am #245225Nil i don’t think you’re understanding the dynamics behind the management team. Slot fits their system, someone like Klopp could only work if the system is replaced. Hence why I have doubts that Alonso will arrive.
Remember Edwards left because of Klopp and his influence and only came back once he announced he was leaving.
Currently, and I say that as he only has 1 year left on his contact, Liverpool FC is Edwards trainset how it’s played with is up to him. Everyone else is just there for the ride.
Fear the day his contract is extended. Or they replace him with someone under the same system, then it’s clear a higher up issue.
Don’t get me wrong, Slot is awful and needs to go. Not so sure now he will this summer.

5th May 2026 at 12:01 pm #245226I don´t think Edwards will sign another contract, I reckon he had a very clear objective when he came back in, I don´t really think FSG had another choice than to hire Edwards back when Klopp retired.
Just imagine what would have happened if Slot was in charge of the transfers, we would have bought up half the dutch league by now. Or a manager like Ten Hag that tries to get every club to buy from his agency!
I don´t think our squad is that bad actually, it´s just so unbalanced at the moment, we miss certain players from last season. Like there was no reason to sell them all except money!

5th May 2026 at 12:29 pm #2452273ps, what exactly is their system or rather their Vision and Business Model?
What’s happened to our Youth System and why does it feel disenfranchised?
What did we hire exactly, A Coach, or A Manager who would have control?

5th May 2026 at 1:37 pm #245228I also think that Slot is disillusioned with the job as he has no authority over who comes in and who goes out. He has realized that he can´t build a squad like he wants over here, he will never get his signings in.
I actually don´t think he was selected because his tactics were that similar to Klopp, he was only hired because he has no bone to stand on, he was just brought in to be the yes man while the transition happens.
We need two new fullbacks, we need a defensive midfielder, we need another forward or two actually. I don´t wanna give Gakpo another season as a first teamer. We probably need a new keeper as well.
Salah on 20 million a year, then we have Robbo at 8 million a year, Alison another 8 million, Chiesa another 8 million, Gomez is another 4.5 million, Endo 2.5 million, Jones another 2.5 million, Bajcetic on 2 million, plus all our loan players such as Tsimikas and Elliott. That´s 60 million something gone from our wage budget this summer, if every mentioned leaves. We are at least getting rid of 50 million from the wage bill. Plus bonuses!
We might sell Macca or Gravy as well, we might sell Gakpo but I don´t see us selling anyone else. Those three are all on big contracts as well, Gakpo earning 13 million a year, Macca and Gravy both on 8 million.
Those three would also bring in large transfer fees, it all suggests that we are gonna have a really big summer!
Then our assistant head coach is leaving for Feyenoord, we still do not have a set piece coach, we have never conceded as many set pieces I think, Slot future is very much up in the air right now! His solution is hiring more dutch coaches! I don´t like the way that would go, we need experience from the Premier League. Not some minor league in Europe. The winners from there would likely be relegated in the Premier League, no offense to them.

5th May 2026 at 3:16 pm #245230there is a lot of money there and very little game time for some players and of course these figures are not exact, just a estimate but it is a lot of money, especially over a few years.
Then if you have a look at the long term contracts at the club, they say a lot about where we are headed, I´ve actually changed my mind about Gravy, I don´t think he is going anywhere as he has 7 years left on his contract, then we have another 4 players on a 6 year contract, then another 5 players on 5 years.
Those players will be the spine for the next few years, I´m not worried about any of the players that have 1-2 years left on their contract. Sure it will be hard to replace Van Dijk but time comes for everyone.
What I am most worried about is Macca and Szobo who both got 3 years on their contract, we need to tie them down for the future or cash in. I think that is very likely to happen with Macca but not so much with Szoboszlai who is taking up a leadership role in the team.

5th May 2026 at 5:17 pm #245234The whole thought process for purpose is wrong. If we have Chiesa called out as an example of somebody rinsing the wage bill which in turn is a minimal return on the pitch, then why have we entertained this in the first place?
Who’s idea was the recruitment and who sanctioned this? We should focus and invest from our own youth system or sign from elsewhere and develop them.
If we’re going to speak out about XYZ players, that is the norm for formulating a squad. To Aspire to win multiple Trophies or compete and progress as far as possible means having 22 Top Top Players covering all playing positions.

5th May 2026 at 5:47 pm #245235Nil we would not have a care in the world about this if the team was performing, sad reality is that many of the players are coming towards the ends of their career. There is no hiding behind that, all the players that have set the standard are gonna be gone in the summer of 2027!
About Chiesa, he is worth the money, he should be getting more game time. I would actually rather see him play a makeshift right back than many other players at the club.
He is just being mismanaged, he was player of the month in December or something and has not caught a break since then but would you actually play him over Rio right now! We know which one is the future and who is not!
We can even blame Slot for the late goal against United you know, he made the subs and put Rio on the right to no effect who let someone run by for the goal. He has not really played there, it´s not his strongest side, shortly after the goal was conceded he was moved to his favored left position and he was much better.
Slot experiments too much in every game, we can never hold our shape for a whole game, now it´s more often that he sets up the team wrong than right, he gets his subs wrong as well.
Trying to play tiki taka at Old Trafford is amount of disrespect I don´t wanna see, it backfired as well. 2 goals conceded in the first minutes, Sesko was bullying our front line, making it really uncomfortable. I´m not sure we would have gotten the two goals if he had stayed on the pitch. Cause he offered them a counter on every ball we lost. He was splitting up Konate and Van Dijk in the first half all the time, Konate had a really hard time with him and Van Dijk can´t cover ground like he used to. So there was always a run to be made behind the lines on the counter.
That stopped in the 2nd half and it was not because of tactical tweak of Slot, we kind off went with two false nines in the 2nd half, there was no identifiable striker with Gakpo drifting out wide on the left flank, Wirtz and Szobo often performing in the hole somehow together. Frimpong just stayed there on the right and actually started crossing from deep but there was no presence in the box for us.
We got lucky with those goals, I don´t wanna take anything away from Szobo who got the ball on both occasions.
Then I have to say, I don´t like the culture around the club right now, it´s not winning culture. Even Sakho was a better role model than many of these players, they jet around Europe on vacation while I remember him for example just helping out in a local soup kitchen somewhere in Liverpool.
I have a feeling that most of the players right now are taking this for granted and I don´t like it. Remember that hilarious speech made by Nunez last season in Spanish, Robbo was sitting there listening and a bunch of the lads. Nunez is talking about fighting for the planet and some woke shit but so sincere I would get behind him and Robbo shouts out what a great speech without having a clue about what was being said.
I don´t see that unity this season! I think it has to do with the head coach and the current transition where certain players just know that there is nothing they can do at the club to help it right now! They see a clueless head coach who has no authority, they see a backroom who makes all the decisions and they never meet those guys!

6th May 2026 at 1:58 pm #245277Is it so easy to see our problems but we have a manager who is never going to change. He willstay in the summer but be gone before Christmas. Stinks of rodgers. He be backed by hen sacked. Its ten hagg all over. Sane tactics, wide open midfield and manager wont change. All ego.

Fucking dreadful. How he cant see he needs to change taxtics and protect the defence more is mind boggling
We need a tough football 6. We ate a very soft unphysical side. We are 4th as the standard is the worst its ever been in the pl
