Rob that is one of the very reason why I love Isak, he demands service, he is not gonna let Gakpo cut inside on his right foot 5 times a game, he is gonna demand the ball and tell him to fuck off if he can´t service him.
I find it quite funny how composed and Swedish Isak can be in interviews but out there on the pitch he is actually screaming for the ball. If you were Scandinavian you would know what I mean by Swedish, they like to sing when they talk somehow.
I remember a recent game when Isak had a go at Gakpo for not passing him the ball, for the rest of the game Gakpo went into automatic mode and tried to go on his left! He even overly did it, Isak sparked something in him!
It was the same way Salah bossed the whole offense around him last season, everone else just had to do what he wanted and now he has to play 2nd fiddle to someone else and wants to leave.
I wish he would stay but I am gonna trust him with his decision, as I am pretty certain we are buying Diomande next summer as a replacement.
I really do hope with all my heart that this talent is coming to Anfield, it´s a long time I saw a prospect as exciting as him, he got the most dribbles in the whole of Europe this season. He can play on the left, he can play on the right, he can play as a striker.
We probably witnessed the two greatest African players of the last decade playing for us. Diomande might surpass them, he is that fucking talented already. The kid is handing out interviews declaring his love for the club, his father is handing out interviews declaring his love for the club, it has been their dream to play for Liverpool since Diomande was born and that is really rare quality for a world class prospect! We need him! We can´t let him go to Madrid!
I read some report by Klopp about him and that says enough, he decided he was their top target after seeing 200-300 minutes of football in Spain with him.
He looked more excited about him than he did about finally capturing Mane. That smile can´t hide anything.

True Rob. Frimpong does like two-thirds of the good work, and then he either falls/trips or his final delivery isn’t telling.
Agree Song. Need a Positive approach like Leeds. We need to learn to absorb pressure and I know we achieved this against Arsenal at the Emirates and recently at Everton. Need of course some form of good fortune and rub of the green.

I’d go with Gingers team except drop MacAllister, put Szlob where he should always play, and put Frimpong out wide.
Get what you are saying about his final ball, but he also has pace that scares any defender, and will provide much needed width. Jones and Szlob on the same wing? No thanks, everyone will be in a 10 meter circle on the edge of their area waiting for something magical to happen (like early in the season!).

Notorious, calm down, emotions, hysteria and business don’t mix. Diomande will go to the club that he wants to go to, basically his first choice club, and it may not even be Liverpool. There are other top wingers out there if Diomande wants to go elsewhere.
And never trust players by what they say in public, they may be telling the truth or not, but they are very selfish, and will always protect their interests first, and rightly so.
As for his talent, I’ve watched him, and yes, he is special, genuinely two-footed, and quite young.
BUT this is only his first full season of senior football, so it could be too soon to judge him, and his cost may be exorbitant. Mané and Salah, had both played at least 5 seasons of senior football, before they joined us, so were clearly proven, with a low risk of failure.

Bradley Barcola has also been linked with Liverpool for some time now, and whether we’ll get him or Diomande, or even both, remains to be seen, although Hughes may be looking at completely different wingers, completely under the radar, let’s wait and see.

We need to keep an eye on Fernandes and be very careful defending set pieces.
Utd have scored a load of goals from set pieces this season with Fernandes and Casemiro scoring plenty.
This is where our undoing could be.
Utd could do the double over us this season for the first time in 10yrs.
They’ll be well up for this and feel they can win it.
They could however underestimate us.
They press very high and if we can beat that, 2 of their midfielders will struggle to get back.We need to move the ball fast and directly, something we havnt been great at this season.

All Valid points Ginger. Worries me as Bruno is cunning and can catch us out easily and Casemiro has a lion-heart about him and they’ll sure be missing him once he leaves.
It’s the dangerous little passes in and around the penalty area we need to be alert of.

True what you say Bingo re changes. I always felt when we had Diaz, we had one guaranteed level of threat. Even when Salah had his quiet and ineffective days.
We miss his pace. It’s Wingers both left and right we have missed and somebody really able to dominate the midfield physically as well as being able resist physicality from opposition.

I totally get that Rob. Reminds me haha of us being a crossover between Arkanoid and Pinball where the ball inevitably ends up in the back of our own net.
Baffling how individual players look bewildered or of being stressed. Looking at each other’s faces than actually helping one another has been the notion so often this season.

Well, another helping hand thanks to Newcastle. Even for example a worse sort of case of a scenario in losing tomorrow, drawing to Chelsea at Anfield, losing to Villa, drawing say to Brentford would take us still to 60 points that would be enough for us.
I don’t think any of us this season have made the mistake in getting ahead of ourselves. The first 5 games and pre-season was the telling part.
3 Points tomorrow would essentially seal Champions League Qualification. Not a bad motivator at all.

Multiple Sources reporting Moonster and you’re right.
Isak out. We can be heartfelt as much as we can, but this I’m afraid is one too many and cynically, it feels Newcastle have had a steal.
Either this or there is something seriously wrong with Liverpool’s training regime entirely. So many injuries to a number of players.
We can’t afford this anymore and a proper player-manager-sporting director assessment needs to be made end of season.
Not really in the best of shapes and this boils down ultimately to lack of emphasis on developing a Squad and Contingencies.
