All the outlets are suggesting it pretty much done and dusted, not a lot of room to appeal, and it’s all a question of what punishment is coming…
And it’s all on the table… would love it if they were kicked out… but I doubt it… I reckon a very large points deduction, not enough to get them relegated, but enough to make sure they won’t get Euro football this year..

redwarrior, I don´t really wanna strip them of their titles, even if there should be a big asterisk behind every title.
I just wanna see them relegated after this, then every club in the league is gonna sue them for every last penny they got.

<<Best case scenario for us. We gain 2 titles>>. Wasn’t it 3 seasons (13/14, 18/19, 21/22) when we finished 2nd to them within the period where they are being found guilty of charges? Whatever happens, I’d definitely take the 18/19 PL title from them as that was the mad 97 vs 98 point season where we essentially lost it via the 11mm goal technology margin. Think that margin was close enough to consider that their cheating was a significant factor in where the title went.

no it´s just the one under Rodgers, United would gain two titles if City are stripped of their trophies. The charges are from 2012 to 2018.

According to BBC Sport, the breakdown of the 115 charges is this in 5 different categories:
• 54x Failure to provide accurate financial information 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 14x Failure to provide accurate details for player and manager payments from 2009-10 to 2017-18.
• 5x Failure to comply with Uefa’s rules including Financial Fair Play (FFP) 2013-14 to 2017-18.
• 7x Breaching Premier League’s PSR rules 2015-16 to 2017-18.
• 35x Failure to co-operate with Premier League investigations December 2018 – Feb 2023.
So, that’s 3x 2nd place finishes to them in within that period

Rob I´m slowly coming around, it´s up for grabs, depending on how much of a example the Premier League wants to make out of them.
I think we have a 100 million law suit going against them, I would imagine United have the same, Arsenal as well.
I think every club in the league wants to come down hard on them right now, we take that Everton vs Burnley case for example and Burnley were awarded a extra 35-40 million in that case. That was a relegation case.
I think a heavy point penalty is gonna happen, a point penalty that will relegate them, 70-80-90 points. Transfer ban, European ban. I´m getting confused right now cause most of the experts are stating that the league will come down hard.
Over the whole period we got United, Arsenal and us losing out on a few trophies. They have breached every rule there except one. There is even a couple of more charges against them that are not included in this package.
I think every club affected wants max pain for them. Then UEFA are also involved and somehow they don´t seem dirty anymore compared to FIFA.
Everton got 10 points deducted for one charge! City will be very lucky with a small penalty, public perception might be that the League does not wanna punish them if they let them off slightly. We are so used to corruption that we might be wrong about everything Rob.

Wow, I’m thinking wishfully if our Christmas’s have come all at once 😀
Would be wonderful if we could be handed over Titles of 2019 and 2022. If they’re going as far back as 2012, that means United get one and I think another so we’d still be level.
What would the point be in the sanctioning if all they’ll receive is a ‘slap on the wrist’? The only logic behind that would be an agenda; a Commercial One!

The league needs to use the examples of what happened to Rangers and Juventus. I’m pretty sure they were stripped of titles and also relegated.
It’s taken so long to come to the conclusion of the guilty charges, that a slap on the wrist makes no sense.

All correct red warrior. I’ve mentioned this on the other thread. Deducting for example 10 points and a fine would be an insult to everybody else. The authorities would never be taken seriously.
This is seismic in my eyes so ending membership, being expelled and placed outside the football league is definitely the first step forward.
It is then transfer bans, and a look at stripping their Titles.

For those who are getting excited about being awarded “new” titles once the 114 have been stripped of theirs might want to calm down.
For starters, it would mean all 114 games would be declared null & void, meaning all points awarded in those games would be removed from the totals, both for and against, so the team in 2nd place might not actually be in 2nd place when this is done… but, also, think of the teams battling 4/5th every season for the CL footy and that extra cash, or all the teams which finished 17/18th every season and got relegated or not, and the millions there…
Doing that would open up lawsuits galore, effecting just about every time in the Premiership and probably the Championship too… football would be a complete mess for decades…
Stripping the titles I agree with… but they would have to make the entire seasons null & void…

Only fair that they get stripped and has to compensate any team losing out as a consequence. Should also have a couple of seasons of transfer ban with immediate effect.
As opposed to the one Chelsea got where the could keep strengthening ahead of the ban being enforced. A joke.
