Waspy, the world and his dog now why Savinho price is inflated (we’re also getting Marmoush with a “díscount” as the 115 have clauses in his contract about sell-ons when they bought him from Germany)…
But it is stupid money whatever way you look at it…
And after watching the last two seasons of Angie “oh, fuck” Ball, and Thomas “Moyes-lightwieght” Ball, mixed in with a bit of Igor “No, really, I am a manager!” Bugger-off Ball, 18 months of Zerbi chaos will be a pleasant change…
At least it will be one hell of a squad for Poncho to take over… 😉

Still disappointted with the result and the reserves, not many of them did their first team chances much good… not too worried, I think we were missing at least 8 “first-teamers” who will all hopefully be putting their boots on next week… would be a lot more worried if the likes of Micky and Porro and everybody was playing… still, 37 to go!!

Yeah, it was a fun weekend all round, with a few surprises chucked in with some teams looking further off the pace than a snail at a dragstrip.
At least it’s back for 2 weeks until the next bloody international break!!!

Well, what can I say… a much better performance than against Brentford the week before, and should have had a lead at HT… and we’re looking favourites to score first until the Bone Saw Boyz got a lucky bounce on a breakaway with what I think was their 2nd shot on target all game… then the heads dropped…
Still not quite the 1st 11, not sure what he was doing playing Grey at RB and giving Porro a more advanced role… not a formation I would expect to see too often as the season progress… I think Tel has shot himself in the foot (or tried to, probably missed!) with very average performances so far this season.
And, to be honest, Fernandes looks good, but both Tonali and Van Heckke are starting to look like a “what a waste of money” signings… not sure about Robertson either…
Hopefully, next game, Porro and Undogie will be starting we’re they’re supposed to start, I’d give Tonali another go with Bentancur, Frenandes playing the #10 role… and N-Dauiye, Marmoush, and Savio up top…
But last day of the transfer window… lets see what other surprises are happening, suspect a bit more comings and especially goings at the Lane…

“Only” 10 signings this summer… and you’ll have to be Mystic Meg (who just so happens to be Buffy’s Mum!) to figure out what our 1st 11 could be…
From what I’ve seen, Savio looked great in his cameo against Charlton (hopefully that’s not his level!) and Fernandes has looked good in the Prem…
Van Hecke and Tonali are not looking remotely VFM so far, especially Tonali, I thought Marmoush was quite annonymous in his debut but with Tel and Porro acting as his wingers in that game, I think Harry would have looked annoymous too… and I hate to say it, Robertson is looking his age…
Would be nice to see the following 11 start against Forest in our next game:
GK: Kinksy (no other choice!)
RB: Porro (back where he belongs)
CB’s: Van Hecke and Van Micky
LB: Undogie
CM’s: Fernandes & Tonali (hopefully they’ll start clicking!)
AM: Madders (but I think he’s arm is still busted!)
RW: Savio
LW: The blonde bomber from Chelsea
ST: Marmoush…Of course, if Madders can’t make it, push Fenandes up and play either Conner or Bentancur… or play Bergvall in the 10 and leave Fernandes in CM…
I’ll say one thing, can’t complain about the owners hiding the check book this summer!!!

Getting warmer…
Quite a scrappy game, 1-0 to either side wouldn’t have been wrong, 0-0 was probably the “fair” result. Spuds looking quite solid (compared to the last two seasons at any rate) and the Tonali/Bentancur defensive shield looked quite good (the best Benny game for quite a while, our best performer on the day!)…
As for the handball… it was handball… no doubt about it… but the ref was never going to spot it without VAR…
Not sure why he went with Gallagher over Fernandes for the #10 role… something about physicality, but wee Conner didn’t seem to link up at all with the 3 up top…
Another “Why do we bother” performance from Tel… better from Savio… no real service to Marmoush…
But showing signs of improvement…home against Everton next, never an easy game… but hopefully a change at #10 and start with Kudus/Savio on the wings with them swapping every 15 minutes or so, (to give one full-back and absolute nightmare!) should see us over the line…

The only way is up… what else can be said?
Bottom of the table, 2 points on the board… although, apart from the opening day against Brentford, I don’t think we’ve been as bad as the table suggests, a combination of crappy finishing (would be far more worried if we weren’t creating chances at all), and a slice of bad-luck at critical moments of the games… certainly think we’ve been the better side for the majority of most games… just fall to pieces the moment the opposition score and suddenly we’re chasing the game rather than controlling it…
Hopefully Madders gets to start a game and the Ginja Ninja back in the squad after the break, maybe even Kudos will be fit enough to start…
Defence and Midfield haven’t been bad, just can’t get a tune out the front 3… and I think it was a mistake to drop Richy for Solonke… nothing we can do about that know, not until Christmas..

Absolutely… all the scousers obviously sound like the “scousers” from Harry Enfield, all of ’em except Nil who sounds like one of those scrumpi drinking farmers from Somerset, all the YooUtd fans sound like my mate Lee who owns a t-shirt stall at Romford market, Buffy sounds like Huge Grants character in “Gentlemen” and Waspy sounds like Dougal from Father Ted…
