That sucks Buffy, cyber virus free hugs on there way.
Not that it will make you feel any better (or maybe a little bit as it’s me!), our company are already talking about temporary lay-offs because of this sodding virus. For understandable reasons, a lot of our “long-term” projects have just been put on hold due to the virus and the sudden drop in price of oil.

its the bloody yanks, they bought us out and want their 40% profit margin, nothing to do with the virus, its just the bottom line!thanks for the cyber hugs of course its appreciated 🙂

I’ve been there previously obvious advice if it helps at all and this might be teaching Granny to suck eggs is network, network,network and go to work everyday at home as if you were actually at work in terms of putting in the time in researching and applying for jobs in fact work harder at that than you would have done at work, and apply to Companies that don’t even have vacancies which could put you at the front of the queue if and when a vacancy arises.

thanks for the kind words lads, very much appreciated, alas no savings as just moved and my son to support, hopefully its just the start of good things though, the virus isnt going to help but so many poor people now in this situation, i cant feel to selfish, the world is in such dark times with the climate and the virus and all things linked all we can do is keep on keeping on as best we can, best wishes to all and stay healthy

Stevo – have you approached your employer/former employer and asked them to put you on furlough instead of redundancy. I’ve been taking advice on it last week from KPMG and its permitted to effectively ‘re-hire then furlough’
you won’t see any cash until end of April.costs them nothing and it will at least give you some income (above basic benefits) until you can find something new
