JM – I think because our only goal scoring threat at the moment is Mbeumo. We need Cunha up to speed fast and Sesko back from injury. Carrick wanted to get players this summer that could change the way we play, control possession better and break teams like Hull down – currently the club haven’t really backed him. Which I kind of get because he needs to prove himself slightly longer term before we invest huge amounts in his strategy.
Hopefully Tielemans can be the missing link…_____________________________

If they were not going to back him then they shouldn’t have given him the job. Setting someone up for failure is what they are doing. He will be the scapegoat and the 250m in legacy transfer and debt payment will be gone. If they are lucky he will do well but that will have little to do with them based on who we have signed so far.
