Something not quite right at Chelsea. Would anyone be surprised if Tuchel is not the manager there come the end of the season? Will be interesting to see how ruthless Boehly is. Will he be like Roman or more patient? Very early days I know but I get the feeling something is not right there.

I tend to agree Ed – I know they’ve had a few injuries in midfield recently, but for Chelsea, I don’t think they’ve been spending money particularly well for a while now. They’re also buying quite a few players at the moment. They seem to be in a transition and I think are lacking some togetherness what with quite a few changes.

Agree about Chelsea. At the start of last season IMO they had the strongest and deepest squad in the league. To finish 3rd was a huge under achievement.
I’m worried about the game on Thurs, can’t see us winning it with the way Utd have bounced back and I fear it will be Rodgers’ last. We really need this window to close so we can get on with playing with the squad we have

Back 4 doesn’t suit Thiago silva or Chelsea.

Fair summary Sean things could be different in a few weeks once the window has closed and injured players return I am worried about the lack of a striker though and we shouldn’t be here this late in the window.
Managers rely on results even CL winning Managers Tuchel needs some wins though even with new owners.

I had the action on the radio, but one of my colleagues today (quite funny to see actually and she’s in her 60s bless her 😀 ) went raging mad about the VAR decision yesterday re Everton. The reasoning and the logic used in order to make the call quite frankly is becoming really silly and ridiculous now.

So far this season there hasn’t been any improvement in VAR decisions. They seem to get the toe offside calls OK most of the time but other decisions haven’t been great.
Chelsea and United have both spent a fortune and this puts the manager under pressure even though it takes time to bed new players in.
Fofana and Antony have cost serious money so for them limited time to get it right._____________________________

That was interesting… ref gave the peno for handball, VAR didn’t really prove it one way or the other, but the ref changed his mind anyway… certainly wouldn’t say it was a clear and obvious error… really don’t understand the rules anymore…
