Hurts to say it but congrats to the City lads on here. We were never in the game. We can’t keep expecting to come back I’m these big games. Just so much difference in quality. A back four of Young, Smalling, Lindelof and Shaw is just asking for trouble. Terrible back four and it’s the first thing we need to get right if we’re to get back competing again.

You’re never going to win a midfield battle with the likes of Fellaini and Matic up against the two brilliant Silvas. So much wrong with this Utd side but I still can’t see any point changing the manager. We’re not where we are in the league because of today. We’re where we are because of losing points in games we should have won.

Men against boys at times. Thought we’d put in more effort though. Difficult to make judgements about the players when they are up against an in-form City whose passing and movement is a joy to watch.
We always wait until it’s 1-0 until we start to play and you just cannot do that against City.
Ref didn’t help; no booking for Fernandinho making as many fouls in transition as he wanted to break up attacks, no booking on the goalie for the penalty and bizarrely gave a free kick to Mendy after Mendy pushed Sanchez in the face. Red card and decent free kick chance for us when at 2-1.

I think the difference to day was City play as a team, including the subs, it is also noticeable, we have no natural leader in the absence of Kompany, so everybody takes on responsibilities. I am sure Pep and his staff will be saying to Ederson a few choice words and he has to eliminate pointless penalty giving like the last two games, which were identical, apart from that, he is doing a great job. Utd appear to be a team with ageing defence, creative players on the bench and young forwards playing with no plan. The players are capable of doing better, the question is can the Manager and his team do better. But at this stage Utd do need a leader, I do not see one

Chelsea firing blanks today against a very resilient Everton team.
Tough watch for United fans very difficult for anyone in the PL to compete with City at the best of times but even more difficult with today’s midfield three.
When City play like they did today they are a joy to behold and it will take some team to finish above them.

First thing I must say is I thought the referee had an excellent game despite my pre-match worries. The only things you could question would be possible yellows for Fellaini and Fernandinho. The penalty was correct.
For Jose to say Utd lost because of three mistakes really lacks generousity.

Adlab, I get why Mourinho said that because they were mistakes but the reality is that mistakes come about v City because of the pressure that City’s quality play puts their opponents under.
City are a fantastic team one of the best if not the best team the PL has seen get Mourinho in a room on his own and I’m sure he would privately admit that.

We got lucky yday nine. Thought Fulham at a very ligitmate goal ruled out. Robertson kept him onside with his boot. Very fine margins
Much better 2nd half and Shaqiri is looking like our most creative player at the minute. He’s done very well so far
We need to improve and we are doing really well but city are just on another level and will pull away very soon

One thing about yday is, it wasn’t to long ago we were getting stuck for not being able to beat teams like Fulham. We always struggled againest the so called lesser clubs so I’m always happy with a win in games like this

Not sure what’s happened to Matic. No idea what’s going on around him. Herrera is usually very good in games like this but was poor yday
It’s midfield was to cumbersome. Maybe but Fred in there without pogba. Utd missed pogba yday.
Hard to see were city are going to lose games. They only dropped 14 points last year. That’s crazy

Unfortunately Klopp took over LFC a few years too late, c$ty established their squad & are unbeatable over a season now. If Klopp came when Rogers did & c$ty we’re still buying every top player on the planet & building we might have had a chance. Sadly the EPL is no different to most other leagues where it’s a 1 horse race. Pretty boring now knowing who’s going to win a season before it begins. They’ll probably win the C/L as well but maybe Barca or Real can get them over the C/L format.

Good 3 points Sean and it keeps the pressure on City although they can handle it. 2 horse race imo always was Chelsea are too blunt up front and 4 points although nothing really is a mountain to climb v this City team.

Too many pessamist, the season is still in the early stages, City will loose at some point and it will get harder the longer the season goes on. As a City fan, I certainly think any one of four can win it, We are playing good attractive football with a good squad of players and a good tactical manager, but hey guys, this is football and surprises do happen. A two point lead can be lost next game, Pep knows that but will still go out to win the next game. That is what I like about his style
