Absolutely abysmal. We’ve looked disjointed and poorly balanced all season but that was the worst. Zero cohesion between any of them. No runs, no movement, no overloads, no moving defenders about.
Ali again only one to come out with some credit and he looks like he done his hamstring again.
Slot has a lot of work to do. We can be thankful we have points in the bag in the league as we have a tough 5 games coming with Arsenal having relatively easy ones.

AS usual when I listen to this Euro stuff I wish for a least two things:
1 – a button to turn off the asinine whistling from the home supporters
2 – to turn off the stupid wittering (300k?) from ShearerNot a pen because a blond rinser throws themselves to the ground, but if only Etikike was a cheat, he could have collapsed minutes earlier

Wirtz issue isn’t just too slow to release, he’s nearly always found with players already on top of him. Slot hasn’t found a way to use him yet.
I’m not saying he’s the only problem but he’s a big one. Drop him, play like last season to create space, get the fluidity back and bring him on off the bench when the opposition get tired until a system is worked out.

Handbrake off for me being still pissed off with Galatasary’s first half pen decision.
No intervention from Var and that was staged. I rarely complain about officials but this was screwed up for us.
Our own decision overturned which shouldn’t have been.
We’re still bullied and over the place defensively. Have to say I’m not too impressed at all. Don’t think the league table tells the truth from how we have performed and how weak we are!!!

I got questioned when I wanted to move VVD to RCB and bring in Guehi as the LCB as something needed to give. Since that amazing get out of jail game against PSG early last March we’ve only had 4 clean sheets in 21 games since. Regardless of whether we had won the league or not before the end of last there were warning signs that we needed to do something. Would’ve loved to have seen Guehi and a top number six come in to add leadership and organization to our transitions. That would’ve have been my priority off the bat then build from there. Grav can’t play every game and isn’t suited to every game and Endo isn’t fully trusted and never will be. Alisson will welcome the rest as the poor fella is getting fuckin pulped every game.
Chelsea up next and a 1000% better performance is needed, or it WILL BE three games lost on the bounce, no question.

Look….where did psg finish in the league section of the champions League last year? It was a hostile environment and a silly soft penalty. That was always going to be a touch place to go. But we deserved nothing from that game.
Unfortunately there are no real positives from that game and possibly a couple of injury concerns now.
We have changed too much….not the playing squad but the playing style. We are also unfortunately clearly missing TAA probing pass and outlet from deep against pressing teams. But our passing was so loose at times. We are looking here like a very poor copy of circa 2022 man city, but just not comfortable on the ball and so vulnerable to the counter.
I think we will come good soon but worry we are changing too much of our football dna unnecessarily. We have a lot of work to do. Thank goodness we’ve been picking up points because we are looking so disjointed and stop start. Yet to see a convincing 90 minutes from Liverpool this season. But it has to come._____________________________

Nil our penalty shout near the end was never and hopefully will never be a penalty. I don’t think their penalty was a penalty either. But they played their game plan well and we never looked able for it or able to mount a real threat.

Why is it whenever we perform badly people state we miss Diaz? Sure he had some good performances last season, but so did the rest of the team. He had some pretty mediocre ones too.
If we are missing anyone it’s Trent as he was integral to how we played, and let’s be honest Bradley and Frimpong are nowhere near his level technically. He was absolutely slated on TT but I’d have him back in a heartbeat. Diaz was a good player but he didn’t influence the style of play like Trent did.
We bought a lot of players and of course some very expensive ones that people demand instant results from amd clearly they are failing to adapt to Slots tactics or Slots tactics are not yielding performances. Diaz would have made little difference.
