We looked as shaky as fuck at the back all day and, once again, bossed in midfield. Personally I’d have kept Cunha on and taken off the second fastest man in the league. And the much maligned Sesko to the rescue.

That was more nervy than it needed to be. Glad Sesko redeemed himself because that game should have been wrapped up when he hit the post.
Why do we go into panic mode whenever Casemiro isn’t on the pitch? He is gonna be missed badly when he goes.
On another note, why have we never looked at Leno in goal? He rarely makes a mistake, and does the basics right. Last time we bought a keeper from Fulham, he did alright.

I had a really bad feeling about this game all day because it’s the likes of Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace and a few others who always seem to bring us back down to earth after a good result against a top side the previous week so was delighted to get the three points again today. I think it’s perm any 3 from 4 for the other top 5 positions now as I think Villa will gradually come back to the pack, especially once the Europa fixtures come along again as I fancy them to win that trophy.
You normally need a points total in the low 70’s to get ECL but I think this season it could be as low as 68 points with the way the league is going which would mean us getting the equivalent of 9 wins from our last 14 fixtures._____________________________

I’d go a bit further Dee, we just can’t play expansive football full stop mate. Our back four does reasonably ok when the ball is in front of them, hence the wins against City and Arsenal, but as soon as any of ‘em have to turn they’re fucked. As for our midfield, most teams still cut through it all day. We create very little and we’re currently relying almost solely on scoring on the break.

Another thing that shouldn’t go unnoticed today is that the pathetic little cockney turd that is Mason Mount went AWOL yet again for the umpteenth time. That’s now 23 starts out of exactly 100 PL games since he signed which is beyond fucking pathetic, especially considering he’s on 250k per week and wears the iconic number 7 shirt.
We can all agree on most of the players that need to be moved on this summer, but somehow this little fucking wanker flies under the radar with most people, but certainly not with me. He’s just got to go!_____________________________

Silva was quite right about the free kick btw and I said it to my lad at the time. VAR should just have adjudicated on the penalty and the ref should have gone to the screen. VAR isn’t supposed to get involved in things that happened outside the box, that’s for the referee to spot. Should have been a goal kick, not a free kick.
