Keymaster@nutts, I did have a go at doing that yesterday but I couldn’t get it to work. If anyone knows how to do it, give me a shout as it would definitely be better

ParticipantJust tried to post in the non football section and it refused my post at first asking Me to send a request with My email address to gain access then it asked Me to give the answer to a question which I did to both requests only then it would let Me submit My post.It then asked if I was a robot which I thought quite strange.Just letting you know of this.

KeymasterThanks for letting me know careworker. It shouldn’t happen again now after I changed a couple of things. WordPress is notorious for minor signup/login issues and it can sometimes be tricky finding the issue but I think I’ve fixed it now.

ParticipantAn absolute gem of a Website. Lovely looking and love the blue texts. I like the ability to be able to just hit the logo on that’s always placed at the top and it takes me back to home.
League tables seem updated to on a regular basis.
The BBC in my has made a massive blunder in a new interface they’ve set up. It is awful when checking live scores, fixtures, results and tables. It’s far too spreaded. If fixtures could be listed here that would be ace in relation to all 4 leagues, but I fully appreciate the effort and the man hours needed.
Superb work and best wishes to growth and sustainability.

KeymasterThanks for the feedback and welcome to the site.
League tables should be always up to date. You can find a bit more in-depth fixtures and tables under the “tables” tab in the menu. I’ll be looking at making that particular page even more in-depth so I will probably add League One and League Two fixtures and tables before too long

ParticipantThanks Ed,
I would love for that part of the feature to be able to click on each individual team and thereafter be able to view their fixtures for the entire season. That would potentially save me from having to visit the BBC football site which is now pants after the changes they made in the summer.

KeymasterEvening Jim,
It’s basically a rating system. I think it’s as simple as the number of points refer to how many of your posts have been voted up. The little avatars at the bottom of some posts means someone has voted up (liked) a post.
P.S Feel free to spread the word amongst any fellow City fans. It’s all too friendly on here at the moment. We need a few fiery debates going! FFP anyone? ?

ParticipantHaha, tbh I have had enough of arguing on forums. Will mention the site to some mates. I havent posted on the old TT City page since last year. Looked a couple of times this season but its full of adverts and pretty unusable. I also lost my log on with a new phone and so cant relly get on the page to let the guys know about this site. Ps City sold 13% of the club/group to a totally non related Chinese company for $400m about 18mths ago. So I am pretty sure we are safe from any further FFP sanctions. All that said, I would still prefer a level playing field in the PL with a salary transfer cap. As you probably remember?! Jim

KeymasterI do remember those discussions Jim! I’d be all for some kind of cap but it’s probably unlikely to happen any time soon. FFP seemingly has far too many loopholes, rendering it worthless imo

ParticipantMorning Ed, don’t know if this has been noticed already, been when trying to vote up against a poster’s comment, the vote actually drops off and is awarded to the poster underneath???

KeymasterNb, I have noticed that before yes. Although, as far as I can see, it only “appears” to assign the vote to the wrong person initially. If you refresh the page, I’m pretty sure it then shows on the correct post. Slightly frustrating but not in urgent need of a fix. Let me know if that doesn’t appear to be the case for you!

ParticipantEd, I must say you’ve done a splendid job not to allow any form of advertising or pop ups on this site – it’s a joy.
If only I could say the same about You Tube! Now here’s a challenge 😀

KeymasterNB, I really wanted to keep it ad-free while we try to get the numbers up. If the numbers continue to pick up, we may well start with some subtle ads but nothing which impacts on the usability of the site.

KeymasterStamfordbridge, nice one! Good to see another new poster. It should just be a case of clicking on your profile picture and uploading a new one. Otherwise, email me the pic you want to use and I’ll change it for you editor@footydebate.com
Chelsea.man welcome to the site!
